I am sorry I can't be as smart as you Swedish people.
The only gun control I believe in is being able to properly handle and shoot a gun.
If you like gun control, why don't you move to England where they passed a ban on all guns in 1995. Sure, gun crimes went up 400%, but don't let that stop you.
resulting in more deads an pain than the initial stealing.
Also, in rare cases, a random shot might touch someone, out of nowhere, because someone wa splaying with a gun for whatever reasons. I know we can't control everything, but gun laws are their either to prevent this, or to better trace people who have guns. And am curious to hear your side, why do you want a gun so bad ??? you cou;d still go shoot in specialised place or sites.
America is out of control in gun business. In Finland guns are strictly controlled already, and the police is well aware of gun owners over here. If one shoots somewhere he's not supposed to, they will find him pretty easily.
It's a very small ammount of illegal guns over here, and most of them are prewar owned ones(70 years old). Think what would happen if the goverment rised a gun ban. Illegal guns smugled over the borders and made by our selves. No way to bring gun control back.
Yeah. And why do I want my own gun? What if government takes car enthusiastic's vehicles away and tells them that cars are too dangerous to be held in hands of ordinary people? And they shouldn't be angry 'cause they're still free to go and rent a safe wrapped Renault?
Please try to understand what difference ownership means to us
For my part, I live In Quebec, Canada. We have gun control there, where to have a gun you need a gun licence, paper proving you're frm Canada and a free criminal record. There is somme illegal gun owners, but not too much. Crimes related to gun are virtually inexistant, outside gangs war, and I believe gun control (even tough it is expensive to maintain) s responsible for that. You could still own a gun, required you had all the requirement. And for your comparaison, I would riot :P
Do you now why I have guns? To protect myself. From people, animals and the government. That is why we Americans have the second amendment. It is there to protect us from the government. The people who wrote it just got done dealing with a controlling government.
Do you know how government controls its people? Gun control is a good start. It's pretty easy to control someone who can't hurt you.
All the great leaders agree, gun control work. Just ask Hitler, Stalin, Chavez, Hussein and Jong il.
Why do you need to Government to control everything? If you think I am going to let some elected official tell me how to run my life, think again. Our founders left England to escape an out of control Government. The only thing that protected them and granted us freedom was guns. I guess we should of let our Government at the time, Great Brittan, control our guns, right?
Personally, I don't think the Government should be running schools. I have no problem with students defending themselves.
I know U.S. History and if the U.S governement was to take weapon against it's citizen, he could wipe them in under one minue, guns or no guns ...
And I don't think a money pig should run something as important as school ... And I wouldn't like to see more illed people in random fights, just for the sake of freedom.
Besides, weapon control only makes sure the one with guns are over 18, trained, and no criminal case, and we know which weapon they have. Guns are not completely forbidden.
I agree mostly with you. Just that a 15-year-old child can get a gun with approval of his or her parrents (and the usual "correct purpose stuff") in Finland. I think that this is a good way to ensure future gun ownership. Sooner you can start the hobby, the better.
I personally don't worry about my government. Just that they're making the gun hobby more harder day by day, just because majority is afraid. I think that that's caused by lack of knowing. Remaining character count is a bitch
Those "money pigs" as you call them seem to be doing a better job running schools than the public sector. Compare any public school to a private school and you can see the difference in education. Private schools are better because they are trying to be the best to get money.
Public schools have absolutely no competition. If you teach the students nothing or everything, you get the same about of money.
Private school pick their students, and some have been caught upgrading the results ... that's why at the end of high school a lot of private school student end in public school because the provate school don't consider their grade enough and they can't milk their money anymore ...
there is this Idea that private do better than public why is not always true ...
Private bathroom, Public school, that is my choice. If they really want private school, let them fund it on their own and tax it.
If private schools didn't give good results, they wouldn't be in business, right?
Lets say you went to a burger shop. If they sucked, more than likely you're not going to go back there, right? The thing with a free market is the best succeed so the people always get the best. With the Government they can suck all day long and you don't have a choice to go somewhere else.
If private schools really sucked they wouldn't be in business. Private schools are funded by the people going there.
If you know history so well you should take a look back on countries who put their control in the hands of government. I will list them off for you:
WW1- today Russia
WW1-WW2 Germany
China
North Korea
Iraq
Cuba
Just to name a few. Remember, most of these contries started out like Canada or England with socialized medicine and gun control. Giving the Government control is never a good thing. Every other country can try out what we have know for 100's of years, but I will stick with freedom.
I still think gun control is a good thing, and it mostly prevent buying gun on an impulsive tought ... you can still own a gun ... I won't change my mind on this one ... And Canada is not WW2 germany, no way :p
I wouldn't call my self a hobbyist either. I haven't really given any sort of effort for it. Basicly I'm trying everything but nothing really seems to get the title "hobby"
But I think it's fun to learn new things, rarely learning new makes your life harder.
I've read that gun politics are in bad shape in Britain? Shotguns are really only obtainable firearms over there if I have understood it right
A good whisky is one sort of gospel for me Malts are damn expensive for a student to come by... Though there is a few empty scotch malt bottles on my shelve.
Oh and what comes to my hand writing, I've always heard barking from it. And I haven't got any sort of artistic gift for drawing either :)
Counties with guns regulations are generally having a lower crime rate, As guns can give thee feeling of beiing invincible.
Hghy emotionnal people tend to act stupid while emotionally troubled. If they have a gun, they might end up shooting their partner after a ba break up, for exemple.Of course, this person might stab him whit a knife instead, but the chances are reduced.
And ic case of a thief stealing somewhre, it might encurage hero actnig (trying to stop the guy
A ad in here. In Finland (though pretty high quantity of weapons) most killings are done with knives etc. And most of the killings are done as they are emotianally troubled like you described.
Finnish gun law doesn't authorize gun owners to carry guns without a propper reason (like going to range).
A fucked part in our laws is that it's very much illegal to protect yourself and your property.
I'll give you a example on my next message since my character count is running low again
Ofcourse you won't get so bad sentence cause it's counted as "hätävarjelu" ~ emergency protection. But still, there is a judgement coming and probably a marking about violent behaviour or something like that.
Oh... I forgot to mention that many of the professional lock pickers have started with tools like this. Tension wrench might have done out of a small screwdriver.
For a starter like I am, safety pin is pretty much enough. Later on, hobbyist could buy better tools or like in my case, make them.
You might have some problems with it... I'm not familiar with camaro's lock(haven't seen yet). It depends about lock type and if it's jammed bad, you mayby can't open it at all without force(?):
Ofcourse you need bit stronger tools than safetypin and keyring. I suggest you to ask someone else, here in youtube, because it seems that youtube is full of more experienced lockpickers and many of them are playing with cars alot.
hehe... I'm not trying to break into anything(okay, not likely). This is a hobby for me and I'm still a starter. Wish I could afford use more time and money for it.

trouble is with padlocks... the pins get wreaked inside when using this botched stuff, I've got 3 40mm padlocks, which I picked repeatedly with a pin and a bent bit of metal as a tension rod.. And now they can be picked in about a second and a half, that's not because I'm good, it's because all the pins inside are now really worn...

I feel relieved that there's atleast somebody who can tell the difference.
In Finland gun politics are going wrong direction fast, because two incidents by our school shootists Pekka-Eric Auvinen & Matti Juhani Saari.
I actually was going to get a .22 target pistol, I had filled the aplication already. Funny... Now it's practically impossible to get a hand gun.
Guess I opened up a little bit... nah, thanks for your comment anyway

English has sinked in my head pretty well. I feel sorry that I didn't take part in german classes also.
Life often can be easier when you know foreign languages. I wonder how could one survive with technology among many other things without english.

Example: A burglar comes in your house. You're home eating your dinner. The burglar takes your TV with him and starts walking towards the door.
It's illegal to...
...puch him
...threaten him (illegal threat like violence etc)
...lock the door so that he can't get out
Actually the only thing that is legal to do, is to call the police and wait for 10-15 minutes. Maybe they will save your television
Even if a psychopath starts killing your family before you kill him, you're going to court.
