How do you find out PSI in a chamber?

I have a Mauser 1916 in .308 coming. I order some RUAG 145 grain 2560 fts and I would like a Enfield like yours.

Do you email the ammo company to find out the PSI created in the chamber?

Hi, I have one of these rifles but haven't fired it yet. Hard to find actual 308 nato stamped ammo around. I was going to reload commercial brass and keep seeing 50,000 as the magic number. Problem is some say it's 50,000 P.S.I. and the other half say it's 50,000 C.U.P. that you have to stay under. Could you please tell me where you found your data as it being PSI?

@tedted1313 Go to surplus rifle dot com and click on reloading. Then go to .308 winchester vs. 7.62 NATO. They even test a ISHAPORE 2A-1. I hope this clears things up.It also states what .308 ammo is safe to shoot in it such as some of the managed recoil ammo that is out there.

@tedted1313 I sell S&B mil surplus 147gr FMJBT 7.62x51 for 8 bucks a box of 410 for a case of 1060. I've been begging my distributors FOREVER to carry more mil surplus ammo and they finally came threw for me.

I actually liked this rifle. I was loading only one round at a time, so the next test will be with clips to test magazine function.
