  • Ein super Video und ein genialer Song!! Gänsehaut pur... Grüsse aus der Schweiz

  • This song is great. Someway is very interesting watching Germany recovering from the war. Yeah, of course, there were bad people, who were killing with plesure but most of Germans were just trying to survive. I am from the Czech republic.

  • great song, great video, great nation!!

    greetings from Croatia

  • I think this video is cool nothing to do with the nazi past... its just people trying to live.. I'm polish by the way.. Please explain to me what that stupid show in germany is popolski show???

I think that is sad...Undermines anything cool that germany did to recover from its past..

  • WHY IS THIS NOT ON ITUNES!

  • IM HERE LOL JK

  • <3<3<3<3<3 VIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES STIJL

  • Nationalstolz dekonstruieren! No border, no nation - stop derportation!

  • Awesome song! Needs a English version! Its got awesome beat to it

  • @Darkie007

An English version?! The German language is completely vital to this song. Germany should write its history in its own language, and the song is about Germany's identity from its own point of view. An English version would steal away the beauty.

  • You know, I'm Russian and I love Germany and German language, it was very interesting to me to learn this language and to visit Germany, of course. And I can say there's no need to talk about war or anything here, we're another generation and we MUST live and peace and respect each other!

  • Sehr schon. Meine Deutsch klasse spielt diese Song alle Woche. Wir alle liebe es!

    Tut mir Leid. Meine Deutsch ist nicht gut. ^^;

  • Very intense... Very beautiful

  • we are we, we are who we are. It says so much.

  • amazing...what is there to say? Very intense...

  • I love this song..

  • Ich liebe Deutschland <3

Inspiring people they are, admire their discipline ...

  • @MrLurkmoar

And above all, their music lol

  • I don't have an idea about what you're humans talking here but this song is so great :D

  • @thedarkpaul3 Idem XD

классно

Mein bruder liebt Paul Van Dyk.

  • I am Greek and not afraid to tell it here in a place full of Germans.. I like many things about you peoplem even if many of you make fun of us, i know your language even if i'm young and this song is treasure..

  • this does make you think what the people had to go through after all was said and done with the war could any of my spoiled fellow Americans ever understand what its like to rebuild your entire f***in country? so yea anywho thank you who posted this m.v. we dont get much Heppner or Witt down this part of Texas, i thank you very much. hell i first hear them in 00. last day of german class with die flut m.v. i was already into Ramms+ein since 95, but this was different and unique.

  • good song good song.. :) ich bin nicht Deutsch :PP

  • So touching, sounds 500 times better than any English song I've ever heard (coming from a person who's just barely starting to learn German)

  • Deutschland uber alles

  • Just remember, No Germans means no Steve Jobs. That's right sports fans, Steve Jobs biological mother is German.

The German people have been dumped on for the past 80 years yet look at what America is doing now. You boys and girls better wake up or you will not have a Country. By the way, go look up how the US Army murdered over 750,000 German POW's after the war. There was no excuse that they were being bombed, these men were murdered and what has ever been said about it?

  • Sorry für die schlechte deutsche

  • Ich Russkiy.Vash Sprache erstaunlich krasiv.Pytayus uchit. Vy kulture.Samo klingende Sprache krasivo.Erih Maria Remarque ist mein Lieblingsautor ..

  • Respect for the German people who had to deal with the destruction of a country who had a bad leader... RESPECT! Good song to expres those feelings...

  • My grandfather and his parents came to america from germany. I have always felt a strong connection to where my family came from but thanks to economic woes here I am not really able to go back to where I feel I came from. I hope someday I can. Every country has it's horrific pasts...every one also has it's good. We need to look at the bad, learn from it and don't repeat it. Never forget the good also. With that said, I am thankful my family has kept me close to where we came from.

  • I studied german history, and I've always been surprised by this land's resilience and capacity to overcome tragical events. This video is a good summary of what happened since the war's end...hopefully did we learn our lesson.

  • respect to german nation ... and people live in it ... we have a lot to learn from this people ... i am sad because the left transilvania and let us in the hands of ex. commies !!!

@ VzornyCyklista)

  • God Bless America for supporting the reconstruction of much of Europe after the wars...

  • @krpcannon123 What Did you SAY???? Fuck USA!!!

  • Unbelievable that this song is so misunderstood by some people!! It's about Germans AFTER the war and the new generations. It's about that we shouldn't forget our REAL heritage despite what Germany-haters want others to think about us. There was a Germany before the early 20s century that was up until then known for so many other things! Germany brought wonderful painters, musicians, philosophers, scientists and writers into this world, into the pool of humankind. XOXO to Germany.

  • @Victory04 word.

  • @Victory04 I live in Holland, which was oppressed by Germany during WWII. Many of my family were killed in Holland or Germany in the war, and even I think the way people think about Germany now is unfair. Germany is and has always been a great country... even when bad people ruled or divided the nation, there were still many good Germans. I say: forgive and forget, but don't forget to remember...

Was heißt hier komm. Staatskritik? Schon mal was einem Matriarchat gehört?

Was ist daran schlimm?

  • @AustrianAtheist Mit deinen Aussagen diskreditierst du Dich selbst!

Bitte was?

  • @AustrianAtheist Du karrikierst Dich selbst! Andere Kultur in Italien?

  • @AustrianAtheist Nur weiter, zeige dein wahres Gesicht!

  • Peter Heppner is amazing!

  • A very powerful video.......

  • Wir sind Wir deutsche comerade

  • @magicsystemable Are you implying that it's from the war? I'm sorry that happened to you but what happened is in the past, it's time for the rest of the world to stop pointing the finger and making Germany fell guilty about something mankind has done since the beginning. It's a tragedy but nothing new for mankind, just first mass documented example

  • Germans)). I have two dead grandfather. my parents are disabled. I was born disabled due to the fact that you are there. I give birth to children they will be disabled.

  • Sehr gut!

  • I really wish somebody would make a video like this in America. It is time for us to stop saying sorry about our grandfather's past. The future is what matters. Time to suck it up.

  • omgg... am not german.. but I do understand about the wir stehen hier...... iT means we stayed here........something happened, the war hit them, at the end if u were one side or the other, they had to stay and keep all the hate and destruction, probably the people from the countries that have being through war, can get this.

  • 3:09

  • like if ur german

  • @pwt4ever HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH NO ONE IS GERMAN'S xD

  • I am the viewer 333 333. :D ... I like that. :)

  • Sadly the people of Germany were as much of a victim of propaganda and marketing during WWII as we in America are right now. Germany allowed Hitler to demonize groups of people who were not deemed worthy due to clever marketing and propaganda. In America we have done the same with poor people, other races, disabled people, gays, Muslims and more. At least Germany won't let it happen again. On the other hand we Americans have learned nothing and we still hate and hurt. Were doomed to repeat it..

  • I heard this song in German class. 5 years ago. Still love it.

  • danke

  • Germany you are my second motherland. Germany is great!

  • two world wars and one world cup duda duda

  • awosome:)

  • What a powerful video and song.

Gute Arbeit Deutschland! Ich muss nach Deutschland gehen!

  • I am of German decent. I have family that lives in Germany. My grandmother is 100% German. I am taking German as a foreign language. I have never met my German family overseas. I want to. I can say I am proud to have German blood in me. Listening to this song makes me feel even prouder. I am a German.

I feel everyone with German blood should be proud of their heritage. Any one who insults the German people for the mistake of one man who was not even German, (You know who I mean) Isn't German!

  • @ODSTArmedForcesGen yeah hitler. but man i think its stupid how tere are 50 million full blooded germans in america. germans should be proudof germany and fill the space that is occupied by the turkish bastards. man you really should sa fu to usa and go live in germany its amazing. the war has destroyed th great sense of pride that germany had. fucking austrian ;) germany should become more german and less americanised.

  • I have thought about moving there, not gonna lie.

  • if you want a version with English subtitles go to overstream . net and type wir sind wir in the search bar. I subtitled it a while ago.

  • this video is vorbidden in germany.

    fuck this dictatorship in germany.

we germans dont have to be proud, they dont want it.

    its like china here.

we can only look political correct stuff on youtube.

i must use a program to hide my ip to see all videos.(got a ip from the states now)

  • @Plexpara i know what you mean. =(

  • @Plexpara not forbidden it's just that youtube has no rights to show MOST of the musicvideos to germans {i hate the so called GEMA} (you know copyright stuff and so on [nothing with censorshipment])

but Hey Amazon grants a almost free server in the USA (AWS EC2 Server with micro instance) and who is able to manage a little bit stuff with linux can use it as a Proxy to get access to most of the videos in the world.

Thats what i did. And it works fine.

    And btw i'm german.

  • Tema aleman xD

  • Wonderful... in Germany we can´t hear this song without proxy server... FU GEMA!

  • It's hard not to get a bit tearieyed.. The german history is so sad, but I'm glad you are going in the right direction! :)

  • 17 people doesn't have the slightest idea about what a real music video is.

    This is fantastic!

  • As a German born and raised American man, i can not possibly describe the exuberant feelings this song creates within the confines of my being.A longing for "Das Muterland", and a recognition that my ancestors spoke a similar tongue, bled on this land, and raised families.

I acknowledge that many misinterpret these ideas and simply do not conceive of national pride. It is not nation, das ist blot!

  • @EyesofNeurosis You took the words out of my mouth. I spent 12 jahren in Deutschland, ich vermisse es.

    Habe eine guten Leben!

  • Epic song, epic video!

  • The only non-metal/rock song i love.

  • germany is fucked like the rest of europe. our culture and people will be extinguished by the masses of africa and asia. enyoy ur life and make some money

  • @BongoChicken Sad but true...

  • @BongoChicken it's called Globalization.

  • @BongoChicken I am English and I will do all I can to save England such as breed within my race, vote for nationalist parties and spread word. We must fight till the end to save Europe! But anyway I really enjoy German music, you guys have some fantastic stuff.

  • I love Germany, and I love the German people.

Ohne Konnotationen.

  • This title is an appeal for Germans to remember what they are, one nation that builds up there country after destroying in the second ww. They live with guiltyness and they turned it into something good. I remember one elaction, where two candidates stood to be voted. The one, who would have appeared better to turn around the economic desaster was also for supporting the war in Irak.

The Germans voted the other one, and now they still pay for their decission - not to take part in Irak invasion

  • ich liebe dich deutschland

  • Deutchland ein stolzes Volk

  • I'm not even German and i like this song, im only taking German as my foreign language class, but this is a nice song for Germans to take pride in being German even with Germany's political history. Das ist gut!

  • @FoxyGina95 Yeah, same, I'm taking German as my foreign language, and after having lived there for most of my childhood and being descended from German people, I love the sense of pride in this song.

  • I think it was stupid that the Russians killed would-be-escapees because either way they would end up losing a working person on their side of the Berlin wall whether they killed or not. they wasted their time that could've been put to better use.

  • @sega120688 & Elbullerina

no it does not mean we are one!

    literally it means:

    "we are we"

in general it is song about "national spirit/feeling" which germany could (be able to) develop after all that years after World War II. Personaly I think this song is totaly free from any "Nazi" shit- it is good music-

and all the people who think they could use it for right wing claims or their wrong understanding of the world are just dumb!

  • @PhilTheKill is "er are one" refering to the national socialism under world war two? Didn't know that sorry, I just tried to be helpful, I must admit that I'm danish and don't know the german terms correctly.

  • @Elbullerina

    no problem :)

I think it really means (even though might be "over interpreted") that Germans should be able to have a "we" feeling. It is no call for nationalism, but shall show that even though Germany really fucked it up 60 years ago and made the most horrible mistake ever, there are things (like the rebuilt and the reunification) which unites the people in Germany.

  • @PhilTheKill I think that this is a great song but not correct. Not many Germans have national pride which is what it is showing me in this song. (:

  • @Firephlaim which is a shame really. germany is great!

  • what means wir sind wir?

  • @sega120688 we are one

  • Comment removed

  • @sega120688 we are we means: we are what we are... in english it is very diffcult to describe :(

  • das ist einfach eine geile musik

  • Sei einfach Stolz und mach weiter. Heist nicht Eisenherz, aber ein inneres Wert.

Ich wohn in England, bin aber Stolz. Das ist ein Kultur, ein supertreibstoff.

    Mach weiter!

  • For fans of German history, there is a great sardonic, literary thriller called Germania (by Brendan McNally), fascinating for its detail of a little-known period of German history immediately after the Second World War and also as a story of sibling rivalry. Much of the story takes place during the surreal, three-week-long "Flensburg Reich” of Hitler's hapless successor, Admiral Karl Doenitz.

  • what's the title of the English version ? I can't find anywhere...

  • Comment removed

  • @ewcia2288 wir sind wir is we are we and no English one the song is about Germany so only in German Google this wir sind wir lyrics English

  • How many good people die in second war? POLAND don't play at this time Football, we are fighting for life. Ave

  • @Andrzejlbn This song follows the progression of the German state from the end of WWII to now. It isn't just about WWII; neither is it just about war and violence. ON THE CONTRARY--the soccer scene shows the "Miracle of Bern" during the 1954 World Cup, which was a huge moment for West Germany. It was the turning point of post-war feeling, when things went from bad to good--and this is reflected in this video as each scene after the soccer scene shows better and better things for Germany.

  • @sw4ns1st3r For more info, it might be a good thing to check out the Wikipedia page...that's where my German teacher directed us when we had questions.

  • Love the history in this, berlin air lift and the building of the wall east and west. Its good for someone who likes history as well because ive been to what was east germany and of course west and you can see how bad the russians treated the east, its like driving across a line and everything turns crappy! Still a good history video!

  • my last name is Wir O_o

  • I'm neither German nor do I think there's a any particular reason to be proud of one's country, but I almost cried to this video anyway.

  • we are we!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • if i were german i would cry with this song

  • LOVE this song!!~ <3

  • Why do 13 people not like this?

  • @Rofannie62694 I LOVE this and I think the reason why a select few might not is because of painful reminders.....which we all need on occasion, however painful they may be...
