  • I slightly think you had to use more reverb... Ok, I'm joking :) That great amount of reverb makes it deeper and strong as I like. Great job!

  • Brilliant!!

  • i wish i had that guitar.. great playing man!

  • Congratulations! Thank you for posting, i have the same amp (amazing amp!). What effect are you using please?

    Keep on, i like it.

  • @adologin funny how people that leave crappy comments always have no videos of themselves playing and putting themselves out there for the world to listen to...lol...i don't post these videos for you to critique....just listen, please...enjoy...if not , move on and listen to something more pleasing to your perfect ears....

  • @adologin Ill bet my life you've never picked up a guitar so shut your mouth this imporv was fantastic.

  • @ALEXCHASE750 just to clear it up, im in a band, so im not bad at guitar, and we did also a cover of this song..reason why i dont post videos on yt is that there are people here that have better gear and camera...so why would i post a 240p video with a medium range yamaha & effect processor, when there is a 1080p video with a fender deluxe (maybe this sounds stupid for you)..and where did i say it was bad playing? it was pretty good..about my comment, i will remove it, now happy?

  • @adologin hey man....you shouldn't need great gear to sound good....I have a video on youtube playing a cheap fender squire strat and it still sounds like me.....we'd love to hear you play some floyd man.....its not about how good you play it...its about paying tribute to a great band.....music is not suppose to be competitive man....just take what you have and enjoy it....cheers!

  • @jashobbsie People talk smack in comments :/

  • cooool sound! great chops...what a good cover should be.

  • what strings are you using? 0.9 or 0.10?

    and btw, awesome motherfucking improv

    well done!

  • @mirshz1 10's on the guitar...thanks man, cheers!

  • You nailed everything the tone was awesome i couln't have played it better than that. You are a legend tone, perfect in every way. I give you 1 billion out of 10

  • Dont hide your face.. I know you´re Dave Gilmour

  • @juanreloco too funny...not even close man...cheers!

  • beautiful simply because u played it with feeling rather than note for note...musical magic keep it up dude

  • great! no words!

  • just spunked my knickers.

  • That fender twin is righteous...and oh yeah...you're playing was great too :)

  • Wow. That was fucking amazing! I occassionally try to do this, but I dream of getting that tone and passion playing a cover. Well done! Now I just wish I had the money for a nice custom shop strat.. Doh!

What amp was this played through?

  • REALLY GOOD!

  • Great job! i think its quit close to the original and the sound is spot on.

    Rock on!

  • awesome from morocco

  • What gear do you use in this demo? Apart from a great amp, amazing strat and amazing fingers! You're playing is absolutly great! I like every single post of you!

  • Best cover of the solo I've ever heard.

  • @pedroleonelsilva I own one of these. I've had her since October 2009, she's my baby and i love her to bits. The trem arm on the relic's (as well as the NOS), have a spring inside the bridge to lock the trem in place. You can move it, but it will stay put at whichever angle. If you untwist it, it will drop like it's doing for him in the video. (Unless the spring comes out, which happened to me once).

  • brilliant...love it :x

  • Yes 100th liker! Awesome job man you rock!

  • awesome playing!!!

  • I've searched the WHOLE youtube to find the cover that "catches" gilmour's emotional playing...finally i found it!

  • @papasouzas1 wow...thanks a lot..lol....he is the master...I am merely a pimple on mr.Gilmour's ass...lol I really appreciate the fact that you enjoyed it that much...cheers!

  • @jashobbsie i am pretty sure that the fender helped A LOT to catch Gilmour's feeling!

  • that was great, man.nice guitar too.

  • what are you using for a distortion pedal ?

  • is that tremolo loose!? how can make a 3000 euro gilmour replica with a loose tremolo like on the cheap squier strats ? ridiculous.

  • @pedroleonelsilva perfectly tight....you'll never play a better strat than this one...period. I love everything about it.

  • @jashobbsie in that case ! it just annoys me strats with the tremolo that doesn´t stay in place

  • good job. I like how you're doin' your thing and improvising around the basic solo. Hell, Gilmour doesn't play the second solo of CN just like the studio version when perforning. Good tone as well. I might have to pick up some of those wampler pedals now.

  • what pedal di you use on that solo ?

  • one of my favourite solos :)

  • Hi, I'm thinking about adding the DG relic Strat to my arsenal--what do you think of the guitar? Pros/Cons? Thanks! Amazing solo by the way :)

  • Very well, ...great!

  • I enjoyed it, you definitely have the feel of the solo. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume that this guitar plays like a dream?

  • that was unreal...great job!!!

  • Amazing job dude!

What strings are you using on the gilmour strat?

  • @CraigEnser David gilmour signature series GHS Boomers 10-48...thanks man!

    cheers!

  • @jashobbsie Niceeee. I love his signature strings! I've went through like 7 sets in the last few months myself.

  • Great job again man.

  • @ARR93 Get a life for yourself.

  • @ARR93 Who asked you prick?!! Why cant we all just give the guy props??

  • Neck Pickup? Strange.. What is your drive pedal providing that smooth sustain?

  • OMG that was amazing, no one would know any different if David Gilmour came out with that solo, it had his exact feel and emotion, LOVE IT!!!!!!

  • @Fear3001 Thanks man, much appreciated...but Gilmour outshines me anyday...he is the master, I am the student...lol

    cheers!

  • @Trevaland

yup. but do you have a Gilmour relic...nope! lol

I just don't see the point of playing a solo just like someone else..i know how to improv....my own style...you should try it sometime...its fun. sounds like someone is jealous...if you don't like it you simply don't have to listen...I've been playing 26 years...I know what I am...and what it sounds like...I'm new at recording...this is all practice....

    cheers!

  • @Trevaland lets hear your version Trevaland

  • @Trevaland Dude-give the guy some credit. I mean he gave has style, which is all that counts

  • @Trevaland- Hey Dick why dont you post something you jerk?!!!! Jason is THE BEST guitarist Ive heard on youtube. He is very soulful and very creative. Quit being jealous and give the man his dues. He could play Gilmour note-for-note. Jason this is as good as original bro!!

  • @Trevaland this dude can play and by the sounds of it im guessing alot better than you, you know why because hes plays like gilmour, playing with emotion and feeling and not shredding or Imitating a solo note for note like you

  • Man... I could listen to this all day! I'm the biggest Gilmour fan you'll find but you definitely have a great style all your own! I also love what you did at 0:31-0:33 which is just like David did on this 1986 live version for the Volcano charity.

  • thats was amazing !!! keep rocking

  • Dude, this is brilliant. Great job. Great tone and great playing. One of the best on youtube

  • I loved this solo so much I put it to some movie editing of mine. I gave you credit in the description. Hope you dont mind. Please check it out. Let me know your thoughts.

  • @pilk24fan awesome! This is a real treat to come home to...beautifully done...yah got skillz!

    cheers! thanks again.

  • Great Job!

  • i don't leave too many comments, but i'm going to go ahead and say great job!

  • because when you play you move so much?

  • I almost jizz when I hear the first note...

  • What effects are you use?

    Nice cover!

  • that is the best tone ever- how do u set ur pinnacle?

  • dude is this 7.25 inch radius

  • your solo is better than the original one bro!! you rule!!!

  • Its one of those solos you just never want to end.. class job

  • Where do you obtain the drive from amp or pedal?Which pedal or amp?

  • Is that a microphone that's infront of the amp and goes into the computer? Great job anyway?

  • wow, this just blows me away..

may i ask what distortion/overdrive pedals did you use?

  • Nice one! :) But why on neck position? :)

  • @Arturdg1bk I like the warmth of it, more tubey sounding...lol

    thanks!

    cheers!

  • @Arturdg1bk I dunno why people keep asking that, to be honest the neck pickup sounds better on this song, it has a warmer and less trebly feel.

  • @finkployd58 I agree 100% my friend! cheers!

  • Yeah man that`s what I`m calling perfection ,nice tone soothing play and a great guitar you have..by the way ,you are so lucky ,coz aint no Vovozella horns ruined your video ,,,hahahahahahahaha.
