• HE'S TOO FUCKING HOT TO CONTAIN MYSELF. JESUS JESUS JESUS

  • I wish I grew up in the 80s.

  • what a great film this is, with really top songs (especialy this song). just wish david bowie would get some trousers on instead of tights. i think he tucked a couple of sprouts and a carrot down them. lol.

  • sorry he does :D

  • that he doex

  • Bowie has some powerful balls...

  • I love how her hair looks in this part and that dress is pretty. David Bowie just rocks all around with the hair, the face expressions and the outfits and his voice is awesome too.

  • David Bowie was awesome in this movie, my fave movie of all time! <3 David Bowie

  • love this part as Jareth is constantly near her and watching her but just that little bit out of reach and u would LUV for their to be a real goblin king and to have him fall for me x

  • -3Jareth -3

  • -3 -3 Jareth is super hot!!!!!-3

  • Awesome movie

  • this part of the movie just stuck with me my whole life <3

  • i LOVE the Goblin King!!!!!

  • This is the part I most remember from Labyrinth, because Jareth is show the kinder side of his personility and both he and Sarah are in their own unique world. Also they both look awesome.

  • I cant tell you how many times I have seen this movie, this would have to be my favorite part. I want this to happen so bad... I want a goblin king to fall in love with me...

  • I AM Jareth

  • Since i was a little girl i used to watch this movie all the time and dream of the day id hav a son namedJareth lol 20 years later i got that wish...Welcome to the world my lil Goblin King!

  • I'm not gay but I can honestly say I am attracted to David Bowie. And Joey Ramone haha

  • 4:12 ... he;s amazing xD

  • Wow, look at his eyes. that penetrating eyes. it's magic.

I've ever seen someone saying like this.

"If seduction and all things erotic had an entity, it would be Jareth.

Jareth was Sex and Passion, Erotic and Man.

And it still didn't even begin to describe him."

    what a word!

i think there's very few who can resist this fact.

in a word: Jareth is "Sexiness" in itself.

  • @ipanova2 very passionate. Believe it or not, but your comment has just started an idea for my new story. Thank you. :)

  • this is such a beautiful scene and tune................you couldnt imagine anyone else playing David Bowie's part as it fits him like a glove.............a truly magical film.......I love it....................

  • the first man i fell in love with, lol

  • She went to Jared!!!

  • If sarah doesn't want him I'll have the goblin king =D

  • I've always loved this scene to death, but by the gods her dress is fucking UGLY. Good hair though

  • I love this song. The whole scene is so beautiful. This is one of my favourite movies ever (:

  • this film scared the shit out of me when i was a kid

  • Really? Why?

  • Oi.

    Don't ruin it please. D:

  • He's sooo hot! XD

  • i love this part!!! This goblin king is so sexy....and she looks so pretty in that dress...

  • @mmsjuli your right he is super sexy and

i would love it if he crashed though my window

  • @Haler13 lol, crash through ur window!

  • *swoon*

  • Dude what I wouldn't give to be in his arms for just a moment. He has that aristicractic thing goin on. OH DAVID! I love you!

  • Comment removed

  • i luv sirdidamus! (idk if i spelled that right!lol)

  • My favorite movie ever :]

  • I'm grateful this was my childhood movie.

  • You know...i wouldn't dare to label David as "handsome" but appealing, charming, sexy, attractive, intriguing in a way you can't possibly describe.

That odd smile, those eyes, his distinguished expression...everytime i hear one of his songs, or at least imagine him on the bus, no mattering the people, the hot climate, the noise of the street, it places a smile in my face.

  • i love this movie! and this scene is my fav! brings back memories :D

  • My fave part of the movie!!! <3 *sighs* LOL

  • Sarah so pretty!!!

  • My favorite part of the whole movie :))

  • I love this film XD

    nice song from bowie

  • Yes, though I was too awe -struck to say much except to ask for an autograph. I had previously gone to the first class lounge to see him, his bodyguards told me to go away, It was when I was walking away that I collided with him around the corner and he couldn't have been nicer! He is just SO nice! I would love to meet him again but I don't work at an airport anymore unfortunately! So its not very likely! And my husband might not approve!he he!

  • We were in the no public area of an airport at the time. I was walking along a corridor and around the corner, he was walking the other way. It is the Biggest surprise to literally walk into David when you are not expecting it! The nicest thing is that he and I were alone, made it special too. He is a gentleman.

  • Wow, did he speak to you?

  • He does have different eyes and is getting old, just like the rest of us, and he is very sexy. I met him face to face and was pretty much speechless standing there looking into those eyes and seeing that wicked smile, I could scarcely say a word - like Sarah in this clip, looking overwhelmed....He was very well mannered and had a gentlemanly British accent.

  • He doesn't have different eyes. He got punched when he was younger by one of his friends and it messed up the iris. If you look at any of the pictures you can see they both are blue, only one's more dilated. If you don't believe me, you can watch "Life on Mars" where it stands out the most.

  • at 3:31 david looks great there

  • He is nice looking in real life.

  • Hallucination music is kinda strange... but this video is very beautiful. ^_^

  • omg david bowie is so hot i fucking love him ^^

  • Agreed!

His pants are criminally tight, too!

  • I love this movie and love this song. It is my favorite part of the movie. I am so glad iTunes finally added too.

  • ....anyone else get scared of this part?

  • Oh yes. I'll admit that I was pretty spooked by this part as I was growing up.

I wouldnt touch a peach all the way til my fifth grade year ^.^

Now Im almost eighteen, and I adore this scene.

Dont feel left out in the fear area!

  • My favorite movie ever :]

  • -Sigh- Love is truly beautiful. It saddens me that Sarah didnt stay with Jareth, I know it couldn't be, and I know it wouldnt happen...But everytime I see this part..I wish she hadnt seen the damn clock. I wish she had accepted his offer at the end.

But I guess thats what makes the movie so interesting. The fact that you wish for all the romantic stuff to stay, is what captures the minds of every Labyrinth fan.

-Sigh- I will never. And I mean NEVER. Tire of this movie. It holds my heart.

  • I think kidnapping the little brother would be a bit of a dealbreaker there. Maybe he'd have had better luck if he avoided that route :P

  • Ah! But he couldn't avoid it. Its his job as the King of Goblins. A child wished away, must come and play to stay. He had to put Sarah thru the Labyrinth. For if he hadnt, Sarah would have never learned to live in reality. Thats the price of being the goblin king, I'm afraid. He must push the ones he cares about thru a trial of awakening. Even if he has to lose them.

    So sad, really.

  • i can watch this movie over and over again and NEVER tire of it. And this scene...i mean WOW! The best. No one does it better than David Bowie. I mean his voice is so velvety and sensuous. And Sara is so naive and innocent. BEAUTIFUL

  • That's my favourite scene from the movie. thanks for post ^^

  • Jim Henson is sorely missed, computer graphics is nothing compared to the genius he held.

  • I know. I want a sequel to this movie but I'm afraid they'll ruin it with crappy CGI and add more human characters.

  • There is a sequel... but it`s a manga... not a movie xD There`s 3 parts. I think they`re still working on it xD

  • Four parts actually, I believe. and they stilla re working on it. They planned on making it a trilogy, but they expanded it to a saga.

  • thank you so much for putting a clearer version of this wonderful song on....have always loved this movie

  • i love how the clock has 13 numbers :P makes me laff everytime i c it!

  • yeah cuz dude rearranged time for her... it's not a joke or anything

  • Love love love love it :D

  • Who'd have thought that;

    Tina Turners Hair,

    Boy Georges Makeup,

    Gary Glitters Coat,

    A Small Girls Riding Jodhpurs.

Would create such a dashing look. :p

  • i know! phwarrr

  • I feel kinda sorry for Jareth at 5:52. He looks sad almost hurt. :(

Thanks for uploading! This is one of the best parts!

  • The reason he looks sad is that each Goblin King must capture and keep a child (according to the book). Jareth fell in love with Sarah, something he didn't intend to do. Her rejection hurt him.

  • Yeah, I know that. I was just commenting.

  • there's a book!?????

please, tell me who wrote it?

  • i absolutely love this song.

It gives me and odd feeling..

somehow like being madly in love.

    Very very strange. :S

  • Why is it at 0.45 does Sarah say "Oh Thank you, You're a light saber"? lol

  • life saver... lol

  • I think she said life saver

  • This version is faster .

  • Yeeaah Ur right,

I got a Slower version on my pc its so weird,

    and stupit the same time..

  • You know, You have this version its sounds a lot faster, then the one i have on my pc,

    its so weird :P.

But i like this version way more!

  • What a brill film! My fav childhood film!

David Bowie is strangly good looking in this!!

    xx

  • To Liam1046: Sarah has to babysit her little brother and , in a temper, she wishes that the goblins would take him away. They do, and she has to find her way in a battle of wits through Jareth, the Goblin King's labyrinth to reach his castle and get him back somehow. But things aren't always what they seem to be in the mysterious Labyrinth...

  • woow:)

  • when i said plot summary, i meant the whole film, iv never seen it

  • "I'll feed you moments of gold, I'll spin you valentine evenings, though were strangers to love were choosing the path between the stars"....love it...my favourite verse ever...Bowie is the best!!!

  • uh.... it's.. i'll paint your mornings of gold ; )

  • yea it is

"I'll paint you mornings of gold

    I'll spin you Valentine evenings

    Though we're strangers till now

We're choosing the path between the stars...

I'll leave my Love between the stars."

  • Well, she really burst HIS bubble.

  • LOL. Thats soo corney! But it does work for this scene XD

  • I couldn't resist. XDD

  • LOL! It was stil funny!

  • Plot summary, anyone?

  • She is given a peach that makes her forget everything including her half brother Toby. Jareth sends crystal bubbles to trap her in which contain the dream ball.

  • I swear to god this is a creepy ass movie. It reminds me of being in a scary dream! haha but this is probably the best part of the movie by far! =]

  • I love this movie. And this is one of my favorite scenes.

  • hes so old for her thats all i know

  • haha- david bowie's hot though

  • Very hot! :D

  • david bowie and the AS THE WORLD FALLS DOWN ballroom scene in LABYRINTH & Gerard Butler and MUSIC OF THE NIGHT scene in Phantom of the Opera are the 2 most sensual videos. And David Cook singing: i don't want to miss a thing and also Hello on stage are really turn ons and beautiful

  • ahh... todavía estoy enamorada de David Bowie y lo estaré siempre.... ;_;

  • this is and always will be my fave film, its so sweet :)

  • I love this movie, this was always my favourite part.

  • ahhhh me encanta esta pelicula

  • Stupend,I love D. Bowie!

  • his hurt look when she breaks away from him still gets to me.

  • OMG 4:11 what a smile!!!rawr!!!

  • Moving on from here... Sarah is so beautiful too (rather I should say Jennifer Conelley), both actors were well chosen for this movie.

  • I concur. This movie wouldn't have been good if David Bowie wasn't cast as Jareth.

  • Yeah they were also considering Sting...I love him too but he wouldn't have been right for this.

  • I'm sure he would love to meet you.

  • Gee, thewre's always one person who can't help but make idiotic comments - he is only ACTING!!

  • 1. He can advance time at will to make her old enough or him young enough.

    2. Who doesnt want 2 dance with David Bowie?

  • I wanna dance with David! Id say yes in a freakin heart beat!

Its called acting fmag. Its an art. Dont ruin it with your dirty sayings and whatnots. Nobody wants to bloody well hear it!

  • Yup, he loved her. Love the 80s hairstyle btw :)

  • Yeah, he loves her. That's pretty much the entire point of the movie.

The Henson company sure did get away with some risky shit.

  • he does love her, its obviously about love and power and control... :o)

    xxx

  • Come on guys, everyone agree with me - HE LOVES HER!

  • dont forget teh girls..yeah...HE LOVES HER!!!

  • does anyone know what scenes the body doubles for Jareth and Sarah are used in?

  • its crazy but if you really look into this movie, its very biblical. im not a very religious person, but if you pay attention to the scene where sarah finally wins its very similar to the temptation of christ in the new testament.

"if you will let me rule you, I will be your slave"

    weird...

  • yeah, I noticed that too..

  • Notice also, that Jareth looks rather like a "Devil" wears dark clothes, while Sarah is a very "innocent" character.

  • Probably my favorite song from the film. Lovely lyrics in the second verse.

  • Anybody know where I can find karaoke version of this song?

  • He loves her. At the beginning of the movie she tells the story to Toby, saying "but what no one knew was that the King of the goblins had fallen in love with the girl..."

Has anyone considered that all he had to do to have kept her there would be to not have a clock in the ballroom and she would never have realised what the time was and would have stayed with him...?

  • lol too true i think that everytime i watch this movie

  • I think part of Jareth wanted to see her succeed, that he loved her so much that the 'special powers' he gave her was control over him, and that he wanted to play the villain for her so that she could win, thus he left a clock in the ballroom. But hey, that might just be me... n_n;

  • you could be right, but then maybe she had to win and he knew it all along "because that's the way it's done"...anyway you can tell that he's sad over the way it turned out.

  • He loves her? NO he doesn't! He wants to enslave her and turn her baby bro into a goblin!

  • Oooh what would happend then haha!

  • Wait. Does the Goblin King love her, or is he just trying to get rid of her so that he can have the baby?

  • He loves her!

  • Jared fears Sarah the same way as she does. Book: ... Sarah discovered a vaguely, frightend flickering in his eyes....She didn`t believe it yet - but alone the hope, the goblinking could have been afraid of her (Sarah), even only for a moment, encouraged her. ...

And when Sarah reads in the book the Labyrinth there stands (what stands in the book... really funny - by the way): ...But what noone knew -- the king of goblins had fallen in love with her (Sarah)...

  • Only in your groupie dreams! He don't love her!

  • He does love her, watch the start of the film where you will see that "the King of the Goblins had fallen in love with the girl"

  • can you still get it at wallmart

  • yeah, I bought it there.

  • Why this version of the song sounds different :S ! i have the original video from the bowie collection, i have a video from the movie xD that i downloaded from ares and i have the original soudtrack and it this version sounds a little bit different

  • If this was made 2 years ago I wouldof been 14 and old enough to play her. This is my favorite part of the movie and song.

  • What I wouldn't have given to have played Sarah in this movie!!

  • of course to have played Sarah you would have had to be 14 and then you would have been too young/shy to have done anything about the attraction to Bowie but I certainly know what you mean - she had to be that age to show the innocence of someone so young ....

  • this is such a good movie. its a classic. this song is so incredible! brillaint dancing and stunning costume to give it that bizzar feel to it. well done (Y)

    xxxx

  • If you haven't gotten it already, you all should seriously go get that DVD with the special features disc.

I never realized how much work was put into Hoggles face, voice, and the actress playing him. It's crazy. & how much work it took so they could make it seem like David was doing the stuff with the crystals.

  • Aww,<3 this film so much.. it's so beautiful and is a great adventure it's a fab film for the whole family to enjoy. ( Oooh.. that sounded to proffessional.)

  • omg i watched this at school!! im a primary girl u see lol i love this film cus ts the best!! ITS THE BOMB!!

  • Hah, funny. My mother was watching this in her hospital room a few hours after I was born. So pretty much, I've been watching ever since I was a baby. This movie is so dear to me. This just takes me straight back to my childhood.

  • This is my very favourite clip from Labyrinth - it reminds me of the day when I was at the airport and walked around the corner and very nearly collided with David Bowie - it was such a shock to suddenly find myself face to face with that handsome face and THOSE EYES that I was speechless - but somehow managed to ask for an autograph - which I treasure- but the most exciting bit is that we were alone in the corridor- just him and me-sigh, not that anything happened but one can dream...

  • Jealousy....is an understatement.

That sounds like something straight out of a movie. I hate you. XD

  • Oh my god I hate you!

    I want that to lol

  • Who else could've guessed she was only 14 when they did this movie? I never knew that, till I saw it on the DVD special features! I always thought she was at least 18 or so in this film, she's soooo unbelievably beautiful & incredibly talented (I just think she chooses the wrong film roles for her unique style--she's been pretty much TERRIBLE in every film I've seen her in since "Labyrinth")

  • wheres the scene where those muppets can take off there heads?

  • FAVE SCENE!!! from the entire movie and i LOVEEE the song. bowie is god!

  • I believe I saw this for the first time when I was about 6.

...been in love with Bowie ever since.

This is possibly my favourite part of the movie.

  • See, this is pretty much the scene that makes Labyrinth so darn good. It's probably the most sinister scene in the whole movie, and that's because they mask the danger of the situation. Everything is white, Sarah takes on this sort of Cinderella-esque role, and they throw in a romantic David Bowie ballad. The fact that we all love the scene so much just shows how well they were able to seduce us. Because this really is a scary scene.

  • How beautifully analyzed! This is one of my favorite movies, but in a novel I once tried to write, I had the Dark Prince watching his archenemy & fellow heiress to the Light throne, through a crystal ball, memorizing her every move, wanting to hate her, but falling into a dangerous obsession with her. (this scene was what really inspired me)! ♥

  • ludo is so cute when he looks at the bubble.

  • I am in love with this song, this movie, and David Bowie, and have been for many, many years. This song, and Within You, towards the end of the movie, are my two favorites. They're both so romantic, and... and... oh, you know.
