racism is only discrimination based on a persons race if their is a doctrine behind it that support the superiority-complex I was talking about earlier. If Obama was AA because he believes that black people are a better race then white people the AA is a racist policy. But it's based on an social-economic problem in the US. Its like the bail-out for banks. The ones who needed it got it. White ppl don't need AA because their not the ones in need of help.

Black pride is about self-empowerment that was (and for some still is) needed to get rid of the inferiority complex that some Black people have had due to the negative history I stated before. It has little to do with superiority and a lot to do with the (re-)building of a well-deserved self-esteem.

Black people are racially discriminated against in every western country on earth. More then any other racial group (unless you're a black person that can pass for a white person of course). That's why the social experiment can be applied in the US, the UK, Australia etc. The same thing happends everywhere. When the reverse happends the cause is often the experience of living in a racially discriminating (against minorities) society as part of a minority. Not to point fingers just saying.

I do because you are a person and I don't like it when policies like this disregard the casualties. BUt hard discisions like these make it possible that the income classes aren't as skewed anymore which makes Australia a "fairer" and compatible state. The world is globalizing in a rapid pace and so is the average educational level in western countries and the jobs available 4 higher educated people.Blue collar jobs are disappearing in the industrial sector while the service- and IT-sector grows.
