F****g system. Even if the guy wasn't in his pocket, it's still backwards lots of times. Years ago, I made it a practice to make sure at least one of my closest personal buddies is an good attorney. The funny part of the story is everyone is on first name basis. Lake Cumberland is cool-good memories. I've also done millions of reps on that bench.

the police can never be relied on. I have stories from both Israel and the UK about police lack of care about things other than murder or theft in progress. No support on anything from speeding, to shoplifters, to domestic abuse to house burglaries.. the police have completely disappointed people i know on all of those cases, unfortunately.

As I see it, anything that is on what you know to be your property is, in effect, your property, unless someone is there at the time to claim it as their own, in which case they may take you to court over it. Suffice it to say that you may do with your property what you wish, as long as what you do in that regard doesn't violate the law. Is it illegal to tear down your own fence? No. Does anyone else claim that fence to be there's? Maybe, but the law requires that they prove ownership, not you.

Let me see if I've got this straight... Sheriff Bruce Bennett claims that he doesn't have the resources to investigate an alleged drug dealer in his jurisdiction, but he does have the resources to arrest and prosecute the alleged drug dealer's neighbor for removing a fence that the alleged drug dealer has placed illegally on said neighbor's property. Is that about right?

It sounds to me like Sheriff Bennett is a dickhead of the highest order!

Then again that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
