its kinda non-comfortable to play the game on thet phone the screen is on the side and the controls are on the other side thats kinda suck for that phone so we should go for the psp an you canot compare a psp with a phone the psp wins at this with ist big screen and comfortable controls not like the docomo phone it has limitted screen and lame controls
are you guy's idiots, or are you just pretending you are... can you compare a mobile phone with a PSP? ... with a mobile phone you can call people , take photos , text message run tones of programs, and can be used as an organizator, not to mention the size.. I had a PsP, but I sold it, it's too big, if i wanna listen to my mp3's I can't use it, It would be wierd to take it out of the pocket to change the volume, or the song... You idiots did'nt get the point..

...but how this mobile can run ridge racer?
the game is running in ultra low color mode in order to pull this of (about 65.000 while psp version has 16.000.000), without texture filtering, ultra low poly counts, and very low geometry (thats why the robot shown was so rectangular) and all that in 320X240 instead of 480X272 and still they could not achieve 60 fps. Nice try dumbasses!!! now try to run something like god of war... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
That demo was the Docomo P905i. And P905i only has a native screen res of 848x480 using Panasonic's VIERA Hi-def LCD @ 2000:1 contrast ratio. The newer P906i will have 4000:1 VIERA LCD. 320x240 is the older Japanese phones. All the newer phones have resolutions higher than VGA. But I still think playing games on a phone won't be comfortable either way.
they are lying. a mobile phone cannot achieve the raw power of a psp. currently the most powerful pda's can only pull of 1-2
millons of polygons which translates to 100-200.000 polygons in-game,while a psp can give about 35.000.000 polygons with many other effects and trilinear filtering aswell.
a cpu of a pda can give about 500 megaflops while psp has 2.6 gigaflops. ridge racer mobile is COMPLETELY different in comparison with the psp version.
also in reading specs the psp was actually stronger in rendering ability then a ps2. only issue is space of the games and developers abilities. i think phones will get up there but not anytime in the near future. phones are meant to be phones not true game systems.
I would much rather have a psp if I wanted to play games.

How can they be lying if they are showing examples? Honestly if you think about it, no other cell phones can come up with gaming graphics like that.
I'll still take tetris on my phone any day... it's simple and I don't have to pay much attention lol.

@ps3ownz27 lol.. this thread will be obsolete soon.. as u see phone technology becoming better the psp remains the same.
