SEE is a category of MCE which is Manually Coded English, PSE (Pigeon Signed English) SEE 2 and SE (Signed English) are all included because MCE is an umbrella term. :o)
Very nice for a SEE interp. jus keep in mind SEE isn't a part of ASL :o) keep it up!
This is sooo great! And don't worry about the pink; it's one of my fav. colors and I could still see you :-) (Well, okay, some may disagree, but I didn't mind the pink)
Also something to keep in mind is that when your signing, your speaking in 3 dimensions. There are a lot of "directional signs". The sign for "like" is a perfect example.
For instance when you sign "know your story like I do" you make it 2 diff signs.
Her-Like(Same)-Me
You can take your "Y" hand an move it back and forth between you and the person, or wherever you indicated the person to be (I believe you set "her" off to your left).
Rather than signing 3 signs you make it all into one sign!
Ummm DreamLoveChild I don't believe that it's called ESL... that typically stands for English as a Second Language. Typically literal translations are in English Word Order which is called PSE...
Try to think of the meaning of the song rather than signing word-for-word. Because the chorus, "you belong with me" is redundant, try thinking of other ways to interpret that.
Also try using facial expressions rather than mouthing the words. It's hard, but it's important in ASL.
I read every single word before I left my first comment. Yes, I am aware that everyone interprets differently. But I felt that this was more a literal translation than a conceptual interpretation. And ASL is more conceptual than literal.
For HMonica13 - I'm sorry if I sounded rude or if I came off as a smart ass. I only was giving suggestions, and I am no expert in ASL. You certainly do not have to agree with my feedback nor are you obligated to take it.
It's not rude really. Sweetxfilipina is correct when it comes to the differences in signing word for word than ASL. Word for word is known as ESL and is translated the way it is read. ASL is quite different. However, I love signing ESL because I haven't had the proper training in ASL and I'm glad to see that Hmonica13 takes an interest and works hard and well at it.
YOU ARE AMAZING!

You dont need to be a smart allic
Dollygirl12345 2 years ago
Giving feedback is hardly being a smart allic. If she doesn't want my advice, then she doesn't have to take it.

Then keep your mouth shut, and read the video description for once.

That sounds alot better.
Alot of people are sensative and can take it very rudely. I didn't take it rudely, but HMonica13 might of.
