A true Yankee and gentlemen in every aspect of the word. Bobby I will miss you and Scooter doing the games together most of all I will miss you at Old Timer's Day. I remember his last Old Timer's Day when he was following Paulie around in LF. There aren't many people like Bobby Ray Murcer. RIP BRM.
I'm 52 years old, and didn't see eye to eye with my parents in the early 70's, Bobby Murcer was my friend, he was all I had, he was a star on a bad ballclub. Bobby I feel like I new you for 40 years, RIP your friend, Fred
For those of us who grew up in NYC in the late 1960s-mid 1970s, Bobby Murcer was the sole source of pride of the once powerful NY Yankees. He was "OUR" Yankee, like Mantle belonged to our Dads, and DiMaggio belonged to their Dads. he was a class act and a model of what any pro athlete should be. RIP.
Even though I'm basically a Met fan, I always admired Bobby Murcer as a player and as a human being. He was a class act, never had anything negative to say about anyone. What I can't understand is the Center For Disease Control spends much more money on aids research than on cancer research even though 40 times more people die from cancer than from aids. That needs to change. RIP, Bobby, you will be missed, and my heart goes out to his family and friends.
Watching the postgame and was shocked to hear that Bobby didn't make it. We knew he was ill, but he seemed to be making progress. Rest in peace as you and Thurman watch over the Yankees. You will be missed

Bobby Murcer WAS one of the very few i this world who totally took life for what it was worth, and what is was worth to the people surrounding him.
