teebeeferris: Well put Brother: When I was a kid everybody was chasing ACDC, Zeppelin and Journey but thankfully I had an older Brother who turned me on to B.B, Freddie, Canned Heat, Electric Flag, Fleetwood Mac and Johnny Winter. But when I when I heard Jimmie Vaughan and The FTBs it set me on a course that I have been on 33 years.
after i heard this playin in the background on a rock station advertising them playin on ceder springs at faces 1978 , I turned into a blues junkie, Got to club could not believe the coool tone and hip dressed kats that were playin , saw many rock bands before , nothing compared to t=birds
.I saw this band (this line-up) in Birmingham, England in 1979 and a year or so later with Fran Christina on drums. They had one of the best sounds EVER. I don't know what brand of amp Kim was playing using (there was no name on it) but I do know he never sounded better...
Many thanks for posting this and best wishes from the U.K.
