When they where trying to find him the adoptive parents said that he died. but i don't think that's true, because later in season 2 Dan get's to know someone how is really a fan of his writing. and i think (call me stupid) it's his stepbrother..

the book and the show are two very very different things.

I guess it's a good and bad thing.... like, we won't really know what happens.

Lilly and Dan's dad were never really an item, Serena's brother wasn't really gay, Aaron was supposed to be with dreads and really down to earth-y, etc.

Chuck's character is right, but there are some small differences, but he's not mentioned to much in the book, and in the book he seems much more gay... =O
