@jackell27 i really need to put this in an FAQ don't i ;p it's because most of the time, developers spend a lot of effort designing the female character models in their games but spend very little time on the male models. this means that male toons end up looking awkward, out of proportion, and just generally awful in my opinion. if i'm going to spend 100's of hours on a toon, i want to like it's design.

thanks for the gameplays, looking forward to this hitting f2p.. i played champions online for a month or so, it was fun while it lasted, i am sure this will be fun briefly as well.. the travel powers look funner than CO :-)

@ubtri you're very welcome! i can't wait for it to go F2P either - it'll be great to have a huge influx of players =) personally i prefer it a great deal more than CO.

@Sambonz how is the playerbase now, they seen a decrease or increase in subs? What are the light powers like and any new features in the last update? Seems most mmos now are going f2p, with a choice of subscription models. STO was adamant not going f2p now they stated they are. Kind of obvious move since Champions and their new parent company Perfect World. Been playing Space Marine and Dawn of War for my Warhammer fix until that mmo is released. Playing Tie Fighter for my retro Star Wars fix.

@kiwicanuck1973 at the time I play, its generally pretty quiet on the servers unfortunately. although going to F2P should see a huge influx of players obviously =) the light powers are huge amounts of fun - be sure to check out our new character 'Jordan here to see them in action.

True enough sambo but freeto play is not always a good thing some times it bring out the scrubs and they really lack any skills at all

@sambonz It doesn't always heppen that way thoe sambo you know well have some whiners and that makes things go down the wrong track..I was a newbie but not a scrub because i knew people had the game..Maybe before it gets way too out of hand people should whatch your you tube channel and otheres to learn how to play the right way.. And yes some times in your case the wrong way...

@GrimSoultaker for sure, it doesn't always go as well as planned, but i guess that's just the nature, and part of the chaotic appeal, of MMO's =) hehe and yup i think more often than not my episodes are the wrong way! ;p

Also when ever i feel a lull in quest i que for alerts. Then go on collection/sight-seeing hunt. Till it pops now its 5-10 min max for any low level alert and t1 content if not instant

@TheDave25s yup but as i just mentioned to GrimSoultaker, it's a lot quieter when i play due to my timezone here in Aussie. last time i tried to queue i was still waiting after 45mins :S

@GrimSoultaker for sure, only the trouble is that at the time i play here in Australia it's usually really quiet on the servers. it's hard to get a group at my times unfortunately. never mind though, that should all change once the game goes F2P soon =)

I think one of big reasons for the level gap is that SOE wants you to go between Gotham and Metropolis in doing quests. Either that or you're supposed to "pad" with alerts and/or PvP.

i really want to try this game. and sambo is right there aren't many games you could just fly around and free fall without breaking like a bottle. good episode :)

I would suggest you re-spec, you're carrying a lot of powers that aren't as useful as they could be for single player missions. Luckliy you are sorcery-based and as such, have access to some extremely fun and useful powers. I would recommend getting "Circle Of Protection", "Weapon Of Destiny" and "Final Ruin". When taking on multiple enemies, throw down a circle, hit weapon of destiny and watch yourself eat through their health bars.

@brassknuckles77 yah we're definitely lugging around some abilities that aren't so useful. but, that's more due to experimenting with the trees on the way up. it's been the same with all my toons actually ;p once we hit L30 we'll absolutely be taking a respec =) thanks for the tips!

Hey Sambo i just watched your video yesterday about DCUO becoming a free to play game, pretty cool. i was considering to give DCU a try but after watching your let's play here i'm having second thoughts lol. As fun as being able to fly around town the game kinda looks rigid and unpolished. is it really worth it?

@Chropoles hiya! oh, don't let a few of my slightly negative episodes put you off too much ;p the game is, without doubt, very polished and a ton of fun. it's just that with so many episodes under our belt here, there are going to be the odd few that aren't so.. 'glowing'.. ;p but trust me, the issues are few and far between. you'd be a silly billy not to give it a shot when it goes F2P imho =)

Oh no the reapers have finally arrived! Get the Turian Councilor and tell him that "we have dismissed that claim" Ahh jk. And really, the problem with your level problem (level 27 doing level 29 quests), is that most people have done the alerts and stuff and will be at the level needed for this to be fun, or maybe even higher. I never had any problems with overpowered enemies so meh, sorry you are having so many problems.
