  • Hey this means that i can switch to play ps3 and switch again to use pc?

  • will this work to play games with, because i dont want to buy a new graphics card for my laptop

  • @ARMYGUY20101 lol what are you talking about?

  • @ARMYGUY20101 i understand what your saying

  • When you talk as fast as you do - It all becomes a Blur - slow down dude.

  • i have vga :'(

  • ALIEN TALK!

  • can someone please let me know if this is HDMI input compatible because i need something to play my ps3 on and my laptop is the best option.

  • I only have three USB ports, will it work on a USB hub?

  • i have a question... will this device work... by hooking up ps3 to my stone age (VGA) HD1080p monitor?

  • i live in the stone ages

  • I have a windows pc, dual core 1,86GHz 3,00 GB ram and a Nvidia Geforce 7900GT/GTO, it runs youtube smooth in 720p and runs my full hd screen thrue DVI.

Though my problem is the noise. My card makes a lot of noise bcause of the van and I was searching for a card that:

    -has hdmi output

    -is quiet

    Questions

-do all cards run on my pc so I don't have to worry about buying something that just isn't compatible with my pc?

-do all videocars with HDMI support 5.1 surround?

-do you know such a card

    thx

  • @Maaarteh I would suggest a whole new build, thats an old rig and all of you'r fans will need replacing soon if not now. They will all be loud. Your HDD will be loud. You're CPU fan wil be loud. Also, I'm gonna assume you're using the stick CPU cooler as that rig is sort of pre-after market CPU cooler revolution that has happened in recent years.

Now is the perfect time to invest in a PC for the next 3+ years.

  • I dont get it! I was intrested in buying one of these because I have a built in graphics card wich I can't change. I want a new video card so that I could play games with high quality, is this like a graphic card, would it let me play my games with higher resolution ?

  • @JuelzZantana This is slower than built in video card.

  • @Damnyounoob Thankz ^^

  • Hey, nice vid! I was thinking of getting one of these but I have one question before I do: it is possible to connect one of these to a source, say a DVD player, connect the other end to a computer and then record the video from the DVD player using software? I know it's not meant for this, but it'd be good if you can try this for me. Thanks! :D

  • I have 1 HDMI socket in my T.V and I want to hook up my PS3 and my Freesat box at the same time can anyone tell me what I need to buy to be able to do this?

  • @pollordubai You are looking for a HDMI Switch. Should be plenty of local sellers if you google :)

  • i have a 37" monitor with 2 dvi it gives me the 1920 x 1080. the only problem 1 HDMI

so bought a new monitor42" 1080p wanting more HDMI but it only has VGA INPUT, i try my laptop HDMI TO HDMI and it wont give me my 1920x1080 it lowers to 1834 or something why? i strech it t fill the screen still it look like crap. better off with my westinghouse 37 with dvi.

  • ok, i need to find a vga to hdmi adapter... my laptop from 2002 only has a vga out port...

  • does anybody know at what site i can grab this item from? my screen is 1080p, and i can only find the one for 720p on the net. help would be appreciated. thanks

  • very nice device, I got a question though,

you do get RCA audio output (R & L channels) to connect to TV,

but how do you input audio signal from laptop to this device? does USB work as video AND audio input port on this?

  • can i get a motherboard that is compatible with an ATI Radeon HD4870 (standard), then get a 21" mainmonitor to play games and put a 17" screen with low resolution with USB 2.0 for youtube and iTunes n stuff?

  • So its a external video card? games? i would like to get more fps on css please

  • I'm running 9600gt on dual display on my 2 19" screens.

can i get this usb to output 1080p to my 40" full HDTV via HDMI?

and if i run heavy games, does it run through my 9600gt? or it wasn't meant for gaming?

  • 70 dollars, not to bad, but a cheap videocard might be less?

  • lol i got 12 usb's on my motherboard hehe

my question is DVI with the 4 dots around 2 lines across better than the DVI that just has 1 line across? im comfused cuz my monitor and my motherboard onboard graphics have a DVI that doesnt support DVI to VGA adapters

  • Yay a good product and a good review no more sam cameras!

  • Am I the only one that uses 1600x900 ?

  • I do too - but I produce my vids in 1920x960 for the new widescreen

  • Those new widescreen vids look really crisp.

  • nope i do too haha

  • Oh I thought I was the only one because ppl say it's a strange res to have but I think it's nice.

  • Yes. (o_O)

  • No. I use 1600x900 too lol. Only because i dont have the best tv in the world and it doesnt go up to 1080p. actually it only is supposed to go to 720p but i manage to push 900p through it =P

  • HDTV's downscale the input so its not really 900, if you want the actualy resolution jsut count the pixels on each side of the screen

  • Nice video.

  • linux ftw

  • Sweet!!!! Linux support. I love my Penguin!!!

  • Yay,

    I have Ubuntu 9.04 and Windows 7!

  • Me too but I have more than just Ubuntu.

  • very nice 1 :D
