I heard about a kid fell in one on those very same mine shafts. They had to send divers down to recover the body because there is this heavy mercury laced water at the bottom. Three divers had to be evaced to decompression chambers or something crazy. It looks like most of the people 'pretending' to jump would have died... for sure. But they would have had big balls alright, huge dead balls.
