Strykers aren't APCs they are called ICVs Infantry Carrying Vehicle. Also you can be all different kinds of MOS' and drive the Stryker. There are ten different versions of the Stryker some are: ICV (not APC), MGS, I don't know the other names but some are for medics, and NBC teams. The ICV is sick though because you can mount 50cal or a MK19. Also it's possible to mount an M240B on the rear roof hatches.
you are also forgetting my favorite that pulled my boys asses out of the fire a few times the MGS system with a auto loading 105mm howitzer. talk about a kick in the ass.

From what i hear the Stryker has done a lot better than the Bradley in Combat and has proven hard to hurt- though the best bet would be to build a really hard to kill vehicle like the Merkava that can carry troops and cas-evac.
