  • Really good, super easy and understandable..thanks

  • I am a bass player with very basic acoustic experience however you make this seem very possible and I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will definitely check out all your videos. Thanks! Awesome!

  • Really good man!

  • i rate it 4.9 stars

  • This version is easy to play and great. Thanks allot bro

  • imba

  • I think it sounds better B-13-12 D-14, then resolve on the D-15 to catch that last F. Also you can add the piano part to the guitar.

(Try to follow the piano really then make your own rhythm.

C chord- X32010 to X32000 to X320XX To get that C-D-E melody the piano has.

    Am chord- X02210 to X02200 to X022XX

G chord (little different here)- 320010 to 320000 to 3X20XX

    Then F (my version) 133011.

Hope that gives people some ideas. When its all said and done, its just your interpretation of the song.

  • @ikeman1156 i will sit down sometime and pick through some of this. thanks for the input

  • Hi I've got an electric guitar with only 4 Strings and over been learning by ear would it be possible for me to learn this song?

  • @hnt456 *ive

  • i think that G version you play is a g5

  • Thanx real big help singing in a concert and didn't want back round music so I now a few chords thanks.

  • ok im a beginnner guitar player and im not that good and dont know many notes because i was taught a diffrent way. Can u help me.

  • @1palmstar Well what I would do if I were you is find a good series of beginner guitar lessons that are teaching chords and basic theory rather than specific songs and once your comfortable with that start learning specific songs from videos like mine. I enjoy next level guitar's videos here on youtube.

  • You did great please do another one to show me how to do an easier strum...lol na it was good bro:) amen.

  • Thank you so much! This is awesome! I'm taking up guitar again after having not played in 5 years... I forgot almost everything I learned but this was SUPER helpful! Can't wait to be able to play it!

  • great video! very helpful :)

  • Please take the time to count out the strum pattern and please send me the video of u doin it! I'm that kind of person ;). I'm a total begginner and got my guitar last sat. I have been researching and have learned a bunch of chords. So I can do this if I have the strum pattern! Pleeease! Lol

  • @adrennalinpro1 DOWN (emphasize this one) down, up, down, up x4 and they all flow together. i suggest muting your strings and try to learn how to hear the rhythm and fit in as best you can it will help a lot in the long run. plus strum patterns dont have to be exact. make it your own but stay in the time signature lol

  • Wonderfull! :D thank you for the video...by the way..i got the same ring as you :D hehe 10/10

  • Good job!!

Does anyone know the count for the strumming pattern by chance?

  • Great lesson! Thanks for using your talents for HIS glory!

  • ITS 14---13---5---8,14,13,5,10

  • @Diana23783 14 fret is a C# and not in the key of C... tune your guitar maybe

  • @ibassforhim i did and it sounds better now thanks your a really good teacher

  • for this song i do G C2 D and Em

  • @ChristLivin well the chords I have done are in the key david crowder does them in. the progression is a 1 - 6 - 5 - 4. so in the Key of G that is G - Em - D - C

  • @ibassforhim no no no in the order i said. ill send you a video when i get a chance

  • @ChristLivin go ahead and upload a video but I promise the way I play it is the same progression that david crowder, john mark mcmillian, and kim walker play it in. go watch videos of them playing the song and you will see im right. The song goes (regardless of Key) Major 1st - minor 6th - Major 5th - Major 4th. thats just simple theory. your progression is simply not correct

  • @ChristLivin You're actually incorrect there. In the key of G, JMM would play G, C2/E, Dsus, Cmaj9. Em works on the second chord, but it isn't correct and if you listen to Jesus Culture's recording, you'll actually hear that a simple 6 chord doesn't quite capture the complexity of theirs. Just thought I'd help.

  • @samfolc I am not as familiar with JMM version or Jesus Cultures. I know JMM wrote the song and Crowder is friends with him and wanted to cover his song. That said this is a lesson on how to play it like David Crowder's version with some of my own influences thrown in. Crowder plays an Am7 which would transpose to an Em7 in the key of G.

  • I would like to see your "studio" and how u make your videos like that

  • @adrennalinpro1 lol not studio here. All I did was turn the lights out in the room, turned a lamp on and pointed it at the guitar and recorded it and edited via imovie on my macbook pro.

  • great lesson!!!!

  • I from brazil!!!! good good

  • Good job man! I liked it! I know this song but I like your style

  • SOCCER SHIRT!!!

  • wow..Great job. I'mgonna try it out. Hopefully I can swing the F chord cuz I am still recovering from a wrist injury. I subscribed. I love this song. It toucheds me on an acutely deep level. Thanks for posting. God bless ur service to others.

  • thnx a lot u just helpe add a new song to my guitar vocabulary

  • hey man what kind of strings do you got and what brand is the guitar it sounds really really nice man

  • @9307james Thanks bro!

I use elixir strings, mediums, 80/20 bronze (nano or poly i forget which) they are a little pricey but they play and sound great and they last longer than other strings IMO

G series Takamine EG544sc-4c :) great guitar but mediocre pickups :/ i highly recommend if you replace the stock pickups (especially the older model pickups pre 2005) not sure how the newer ones sound

  • Thanks so much!! I am just starting out and I am learning this in G. I struggle with Strum patterns and you totally helped me get it! God Bless!

  • thnx soo much 4 this! im just learning 2 play and this was so helpful! this song is so powerful and i love it so much!

  • Thanks for this man, it looks crazy complicated but I'm gonna try it

  • @guiong yea brotha it can seem like alot at first sorry. Just keep it simple. C - Am - G - F however you want to make them and then worry about adding and taking away chord variations. Good luck!

  • nice GREAT tutorial!!!

  • good guitar, great sound.

  • Great tutorial! Thanks!

  • this helped me ALOT! im just learning how to play and wanted to learn a little song to play for my family on christmas with my new guitar :) and this is perfect! thanks alot! :)

  • finger picking lesson up for this song!!! check it out and rate plz

  • thanks so much!!

  • i will try it out :D

  • G? G maj 7 I believe

  • @chowhiyeon sweet, thanks :) yea im trying to do better learning proper names but it can get ridiculous lol

  • @ibassforhim That was fast!!! Oh by the way love your video!!

  • @ibassforhim

just a correction (not in a rude way!) it is still a Gmaj. you're not adding a 7th by muting the A string. the standard G is 320003. and playing (the popular version) 320033 is G maj5. Gmaj7 would be 320002. hope it helps!

  • this is the best tutorial!

  • ...God Bless You :)

  • sweet, thanks! this was really clear and helpful

  • that's really good :)
