Peru has plenty of surf history, waves and surfers. I was surprised to see the Eddie Aikau organizers invited a surfer from Chile and none from Peru. I have nothing against the chilean surfer, but I feel Peru has been insulted by such a deed. It would be equivalent to inviting Jamaica to a baseball world tournament and at the same time ignoring US, a major baseball force in the world.
@WERPSU77 You need to travel and get to know other places than the english speaking world. There is more to the world than US, Australia, UK and Hawaii. Brazil, Peru, Chile, Mexico, South Africa, etc, all have big waves amongst their waves.
