I think Aretha is the greatest female singer of all time but this was not good. But since she has lost the weight I have notice that her voice sounds much better and she can extend her notes. This was just okay for me!

Falsetto voice or not she still touch people the same ever since she started singing from a child through gospel to r&b to jazz etc. and that her fans of all ages and races appreciate,if she's on stage or you hear a song she sing you don't have a choice but to stop and listen because her soul,spirit,and message grabs you and don't let go...her voice does deserves a lil wear and tear she has been singing for like nearly 60yrs. yes she's full figure and smoked but bump all of that she still sing

I like when she started singing out in her natural full voice from 9:10 thru 9:20.. She even belted a note out in there. It was like she started feeling it and the voice came out briefly. I do agree with another comment that she really needs to give her falsetto voice a long rest. I do realize because of her weight and maybe a few other factors it must be very difficult to maintain the proper breath one needs to have to sing effectively !

Dont get me wrong, I think Aretha is the greatest female singer the world has seen, but I agree with the fact she needs to work with what she has now by not straining her falsetto, and just go lower. It was like watching my mum trying to imitate aretha on karioke at a wedding.

Personally I think she still sounds amazing. Peoples' voices change with age by nature, maybe her weight has changed it but I doubt it. Her voice in the 80s sounded much lower than it was in the 70s and 60s and in the 80s she had gained some weight. But now she is huBongous! I mean it is shocking, she must weight 500 pounds. But she is immensely gifted and I love to hear her sing.

One of the problems Aretha has is the weight. She has to much sitting on top of her lungs and chest and she doesn't have the right airflow to get the right sound to come out.Another problem is she really doesn't use what notes she has left the right way. It sounds like she's trying to hard sometimes.

This show reinforces her just letting her voice go down-hill and it should be in exile. Ree just doesn't have it at times and these is 1 of those times.
