Saw this TV in Luxembourg today.... Picture was the best in the entire store... I think I'll pick it up tomorrow... one thing I'm not sure of yet, is it possible to play 3d on the TV from a file? IE something you torrent down and play via the PS3 or such like device? I have a ps3 and a Popcorn Hour
@nanooki it has an option to force 2d images into 3d, however apparently it does not look as good as 'true' 3d i.e. images that were designed to be 3d from the start.
@Egerton50 The bezel is white. I went to look at the 37" version at the store yesterday. It's an amazing TV I am buying one at the end of the week when I get paid.
@anil2 Well I live in London so I saw it in Comet. I found the 40" version on Amazon for £774 and ordered it on Sunday. It was delivered this morning but I have not set it up yet as my house is being renovated and I don't want it getting damaged. Let me know if you get one, hopefully my room where I'm putting it will be finished soon and I can give you a review of it.
@ZappedFool that would be great! do you know if the white is a matte white or a glossy white? I've been tracking it on Amazon for a couple weeks, and i've noticed its been dropping fast. I might wait a couple weeks for more reviews and possibly see it in person at Comet.
@anil2 I just opened the box quickly and had a look for you, the bezel is glossy white but its not a particularly shiny gloss appearance. It has the feel of gloss and the smoothness but it isn't as reflective as you would expect gloss to be.
@ZappedFool Cheers for letting me know. Have you seen the picture quality as there many reports of problems with the black version and they both have the same screens. Reports of clouding and banding are what i've heard. This is what has put me off buying one. There major problems with the series 7 and 8 so there out of the question. I may wait a couple weeks for these issues to be fixed.
@anil2 The one that I saw in Comet had fantastic picture quality, and as a display model all settings will have been maxed out, which usually makes it easier to spot flaws. I couldn't see a single issue with the picture but if there are any problems it is covered by warranty and I will just get mine replaced. I am not too worried.
