  • Sorry I'm watching this 3 days late; I've been sick and 'incapacitated'. As usual, fab video Sarah; the patient's dignity and sense of control are paramount. I can recall being 'dragged kicking and screaming' to treatment as a kid in the 70s and it being treated as if I was just being rebellious and naughty rather than terribly distressed. Yes, people should have the right to choose within the limits of promoting recovery.

You're a wise woman; really well said.

  • "people hit rock bottom when they stop digging" wow...I really like that. Great video. I totally know what it's like with the lighting for videos...my nose disappears when I have too much light on. LOL

  • we wouldn't want that now would we-nope your not as cute without a nose =(

  • lol...thanks.... :)

I had a video once with too much light, talk about a bad Michael Jackson impression. Haha

  • no you don't!! you're awesome!!! <33

  • right back attcha darlin!

  • oh man! I am horrible! I needa get my ass in gear & comment on these vids! slipppppersss! I love em! :D You're SO cute! You, my friend, are a prophet! You CAN choose to hit rock bottom. Yes! I LOVE this! Others can manipulate this for us to get help, & we can manipulate others into bargaining, as we are masters at lying, cheating & manipulating. To gain control, we have to let go of control, in terms of living life on life's terms. I love you, Sarah! :) xxx,

    K

  • your a very wise chickie, my adorable long lost very short rockstar twin! Thing is that letting go of that control is the best thing for us def but its really hard =(

  • You and I believe the same way about patients choosing their own foods if they are inpatient. I can't imagine people locking a bathroom on me considering I never had bulimia. I've never been a guy to go with the rules anyway. I would most likely go out of my way to rebel. lol And I did get threatened with a tube one time when I was in the medical hospital with an inbalance. It scared me to death until I realized that it was my choice. I chose "no way!" but it was scary for a minute there

  • Yeah...tubes are not cool. I mean if necessary okay..but just a way to maintaine "illness" status (in my opinion) . And they're not fun either-totally awesome choice to NOT choose that!

    WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO

    Taylor!

  • Hey pretty girl! I never even thought about safe colors but I think mine is blue. I think I like green or purple the least. I like your way of looking at "rock bottom". I've done the in-patient thing for other issues outside of my ED but I was suicidal and I knew I needed to give the control to someone else. But as far as my ED went..I never could bring myself to go in the hospital for that. I needed to do it on my own and thank God I was able to do it without help.

  • I like purple =(....But yeah green hasn't ever really been a "safe" colour for me..but I could def see you in light blue...it suits you. I dunno I think suicidality and eating disorders are different...were for me anyways...ED for me was a way to stay alive, not die..make sense?

  • Hey Love,

my webcam is crappy also as you could see... or maybe this is reality and we are flashed? I love watching your face, beautiful =)

I liked your ideas very much and have nothing really to add here besides my own story but this would go far beyond that comment.

Well, love ya love your videos and the collab and recovery and life!

    xoxo
