  • how did you cover her pointe shoes? the sole is not covered, looks pretty :)

  • Gostaria de lembrar que este é um grand prix de dança, isto para mim foi contorcionismo, e não achei boa idéia levar uma adaptação de uma adaptação para um festival.

  • um arraso só percebi que nesse meio tem um dedinho da professora de GR

  • Isn't the Arabian dance suppose to have tricks? I think she's ace!

  • Her constitution/flexibility is very good for the future. Her grace also.

    Keep up the good work!

  • beautiful dancer!!!!!!!! incredible flexibility and lots of talent;) AWESOME loved it<33

  • i wish my back was that bendy:(

    loved it xxx

  • this is such a great dance! this girl looks really strong..the end is really cool especially :) love it :)

  • Hello, everyone. I'm Nicole's mom, I don't even know if Nicole is aware that there are videos of her on Youtube! I post them here for her grandparents overseas to be able to follow her progress, it's no vanity thing. I want to thank all of you for commenting on her dancing, especially the beautiful AACBS girls. You're all so sweet and love Nicole so much... I know she absolutely adores you guys, too. Anything new that comes out, make sure I'll put here so that all can enjoy!

  • I very much hope you keep posting her videos. This girls has all the makings of a top tier dancer. I can't believe she was only ten or eleven here! Her flexibility is incredible and she has beautiful turnout. It was brave of her to do her first pointe performance at YAGP! Keeping videos of her will be a wonderful memory for you all down the road. I would love to see myself en pointe for the first time! Tell Nicole to stay humble, work hard, and enjoy the amazing experiences. Best Wishes.

  • She i just fine very good body type no bent knees doesnt have weak feet. However she is stiff with her shoulder and neck this will make off center moves hard for her but she is so flexibe she will come out just fine^^

  • okay for all of you who know Nicole personally ignore this...

this girl is one of the best dancer's i have the pleasure of knowing. she is in my level currently. she is a 7th grader now! this was almost 2 years ago... she would have been ten or eleven. this was her first solo on pointe! she takes classes everyday of the week except sunday. i know for a fact that if the studio was open then, she would be taking a class! this girl lives for dance!!

i love you nicolina! see you tomorrow

  • she needs to lenghthen her legs more, be lighter on her toes when she runs, turnout her tondu's, and hold her passes longer

  • i think all of that is because she wasnt quite ready to do it on pointe yet.

  • @dancebea92 you can think whatever you want, but i think she was.

  • she needs to lengthen her legs more. but that might be just the video, the dimension are weird.

and like everyone else has been saying, she really shouldn't be en pointe yet. she'll ruin her feet before she can go anywhere

  • tem flexibilidade na coluna muito boa!!!

  • hhow old is she? Wayy to young to do a pointe dance, let alone en pointe.

  • i'm 11 and im on pointe and i started when i was 9

  • that is way to young to start pointe. You feet havent completely matured at 9.

  • they say the best is to start at 11 but that's for normal people i think some people have strong feet enough to start early

  • Ok diving into this trap, shes too young for all what is attempted, bones, carteledge, joints, where will they be in a few years, cirque de soleil is not a happy dancers body I say.

  • I want to see her in a real Ballett Variation!

    That would be amazing!!!!

    She is realy talented ;)

  • I thought that was awesome! Go Nicole! =D

  • Great Job Nicole!

  • shes good but this dance is a little too gymnastic

like for me but besides that good job!

  • I thought she was 11.

  • omgoshhh shes amazing!

  • this girl is only 9!!!

    she is so talented.

  • Chillllll out people. She is only like 9 years old! I find it truely pathetic that you can come up with all these rude comments on a clearly well done performance for her age. Why don't you go critique people that actually asked for them.

  • geeze someone give her some credit! for a girl her age to get up and do that as well as she did, i think is amazing. so shes not darcy bussel but who cares? shes a really good dancer and people should be supporting her rather than pointing out all the bad points.

how will she get stronger if she never pratices? her teachers wouldnt have let her go en pointe if they didnt think she was capable and personally, i think she prooved she IS capable.

well done, keep it up and youll be amazing! :D

  • so what if shes on pointe. i started pointe when i was 9. shes on pointe because she has strong legs and a really good arch. i mean amazingly great arch! so its really rude for saying thats shes 'too young'.

  • dear every body here nows you are not good at dancing GO BACK TPO SCHOOL and you are not god on point! practise practise and practise ;D

  • umm maybe you should learn how to spell the word "pointe" you no with an "e" at the end ya...

  • I heard Shelley King's voice as the announcer! Good luck with your dancing!

  • Your comment was not constructive, it was rude. "sorry kiddo" is rude, and a trained professional in pedagogy would know the difference. Furthermore, most professionals would agree that a student is ready to begin pointe with,"the ability to hold turnout...(and) an ankle and foot flexible enough to hold the well placed body over the pointes."(The Pointe Book, by Janice Barringer You did not attack the choreography, you attacked the child. Go back to school!

  • Quoting "The Pointe Book" is not enough to back up your position on this matter. Upon watching this I was impressed by this girl's flexibility but sadly, her ballet technique is lacking. She looked uncomfortable in the pointe shoes and does not appear to have the strength required to perform adequately en pointe. Having had years of training at the RWB, I must agree with AcemanJones on this one. Aprilbabiez, you needn't be so outraged that someone has an opinion contrary to your own.

  • Courneysara, I was not outraged at the contrary opinion, but at the way it was said (please see my earliest post). I did not like the "...sorry, kiddo..." bit. I only backed up my opinion with the quote from book I referenced, because of the response from Aceman Jones who claimed to be a teacher.

  • should not be en pointe. sorry, kiddo!

  • What kind of comment is that?!?! You obviously are confused if you think that someone with highly arched feet, good use of turnout, and strong legs and feet like this girls' are, should not be on pointe. Wow! I feel sorry for this young girls that she might have actually been injured by your very rude and ignorant comment!

  • 1-Arched feet are of no use if they are flexible but not strong. Her feet (and general facility) are flexible but do not seem strong...setting herself up for injury (esp with this choreography, carrying her entire body weight over forced arches down to the floor).

2-Use of turnout (which, in this case, is little more than average) has only a minor effect on if a person is ready to be en pointe.

3-'Strong legs'? No. Flexible, but not strong.

    (continued)

  • 4-If a comment posted on youtube is enough to 'injure' this dancer, she'd better toughen up. It's a tough industry.

5- 25 years of NYC professional experience here as a performer, choreographer and teacher. Not ignorant or rude. And, bottom line is that we are all entitled to our opinions.

  • obviously, she's a good dancer but i didn't like the dance. instead dancing she really just did tricks.

  • She needs to work on her turn out. But great potential.

  • more like a flexibility showcase than a dance...but definitely great potential

  • wow, you are crazy flexible!!

    especially in your back. :]

  • is the pre competitiev or junior division?

  • I agree with the bad choreography comment.

  • how old is she?

dance2dusk is right, she's a beautiful dancer...but she looks horribly underweight! That's sad.

  • OK so I know this little girl and she dances at my studio and she is not underweight- she is just tiny overall. She is an amazing dancer!

  • is this AACB

  • yeah. :)

  • really kewll well im actually in ballet class w nicole now at aacb

  • shes def. not under weight

  • that was bad choreography wasted on a brilliant dancer

  • I disagree- for her level I think the choreography is quite nice.

  • was his in spartanburg?

  • Orlando

  • Did you place?? - You did a wonderful job!

  • she got in the top twelve
