Halo did not copy Metroid, this is easy to see.

Halo is the old "humans invade earth, earth goes bye bye, humans flee, aliens come to finish, humans fight for survival" blah blah blah.

Metroid is a unique story about a person who lost her family, and had her life taken away from her by an evil alien race, was raised by Chozo (aliens), and became a bounty hunter to wipe out the space pirates, and kill Ridley, in revenge for her parents. (each game has a unique piece of the plot though)

One thing I loved about Metroid was the fact that it didn't have a bad entry. Prime Hunters was less impressive than the others, but overall there was no bad Metroid game.

What I love about the Metroid series is that the games all have incredible plots, but they aren't all overly dramatic and mystical. Samus is 100% good, but you just got to love the stone cold bad-ass and sexy heroism she brings as she annihilates her enemies.

Mario and Link are great Nintendo heroes, but they can be too nice for their own good. Samus is one hero driven by real motivations: her parents and her whole life being taken away by a force of unspeakable evil.

I'm with you Chozoman. I hate it when people talk about how Halo is so much better than this. I never played the super old ones, but I played Prime, Echoes, and Corruption and loved all 3 of them. I'm depressed that the trilogy is over and it sucks to think that these are in the past now. I hope Metroid spirit stays around...

I say choxo too, theyre extremely high tech and birds are kinda cool. The Luminth are okay, but they were sorta strange. Man Nintenda needs to make a new huge 2d Metroid game for the DS! =D And it would be cool to customize and make your own levels and have multiplayer! =D

nobody knows for sure. the ones who raised samus were probably killed by space pirates, and those on tallon 4 were corrupted by the phazon and went insane, then died... and the rest of them? perhaps theyre still scattered through the galaxy, living in peace...
