Speaking of ice skating, Merrill says somewhere that after they learned how to ice skate in a week for a 1960's Andy Wiliams episode, they all burned their skates! They HATED it! They sure learned fast though.

I was not an Osmond fan in the 70's at their peak but now 30 years later in viewing a lot of their old clips up to now, I realize how very very talented and underrated they are! No one can compare!

So true Karen they really deserved more cred but people just hear the name Osmond and they can't get past the 'bubblegum' music and goofball comedy from the D&M show - they never really see how talented these guys, not only do they have the most perfect voices but they each play at least 8-10 musical instruments or more and what wonderful, genuine people they are. 

Not a day goes by without me listening and or watching the Osmonds - they bring me such joy.

It's just not the same without all of them. When they sang together on Oprah I had chills on top of chills, with the clips of them playing on the screen behind them, what a legacy this family has.

Donny went solo in the early '80s, and Alan retired in '97 because of his M.S. It's only been in the last couple years that Alan has started performing again.
