Career military people generally do not like the idea of closing down bases and reducing personnel. They are also leery of people who want to reduce revenues because it always leads to cuts in the benefits that soldiers have earned.

As a member of the Armed Forces, I have this to say. Of all people, this man, who has been wronged by politicians, should have every right to speak up politically. This man, along with others with his experience, can very unique insight into what this country needs. It is an absolute travesty that this man is being punished for speaking his mind.
