my hair is so much like yours, 3c and 4a around the edges, i think we even have the same length and i have a gap too lol, i hate that my edges frizz up and are uncontrollable unlike the rest of my hair, i have an identicle twin and her hair doesnt even do the same thing, her edges are soft and her curl pattern is softer. weird.

You have to judge hair type (with Andre's system) when your hair is DRY. Not sure why people don't get that. You're probably a 4a when your hair is dry.

Yep, my hair is almost exactly like yours! Edges (only front edges, not all the way around): 4a, Roots: 3b, Middle to Ends: 3c...damned crazy mix lol.

The most awkeard part of my hair is 4a 4b in the edges and front. Then the middle and back is all 3c. i SO FEEL YOU! With the protective style cause I'm working on the same thing of not looking like a Jheri curl.

Wow, you are truly my hair twin. I was worried b/c i'm going to BC over 4th of July. All of my hair is 3c except around face which is totally 4a. Or I thought that it could just be really damaged from wearing too many ponytails. Either way i'm concerned about controlling that hairline. Any tips?

@jivelene It really cannot be controlled...the more you mess with it the more likely it is to break off and not grow...if you are going natural you should learn to embrace the fact that it will be fuzzy and never lay flat without gel. I use the brown kind and I don't use it that often. Hope this helps!

your hair is like mine. it even shrinks as much as mine. its way longer than it appears. and my front is the same. i think as it grows it seems to get looser in its curl.

My hair is EXACTLY like yours! But I wanted to comment on the amount of hair loss on your vid. It use to happen to me, what I started doing is wetting my hair with distilled water and then applying conditioner (aphogee) adn putting a plastic cap on it and letting it sit for about 20 minutes, I then rinse it with distilled water and proceed to wash my hair with regular water, BUT the key is to run the water on a low setting because the water is HARD unless you have a water softener @ home.

I FINALLY KNOW MY HAIR TYPE...LOL!!!

I could not understand why I had curls in my hair after washing and when it dried somewhat but other parts of my hair (like the edges) not as curly. I have a serious S pattern to my curls also...I want to try and freeze those curls one day also...thanks for the video!!!
