  • Dear Santa

  • I just have a question. how to you make your router recieve commands and send them to the car ? because i have an old router here plus an arduino mega D:

  • I have problems for right now - If i turn right with the robot then the robot stays somehow in the right position - I have to torn left so the robot has its original position.

  • Hello Jon I have accomplished my third prototype of the mobile robot that I was building up similar like your application.

  • btw can the camera be live feed?

  • how much would you sell this or kit(S)

  • @devildogsrule101st

I can sell you my application 700US$

  • I can sell you my application for 700bugs. The spy robot and any support from my side.

  • Im looking into building a wifi bot , i have a WRT54G to play with and the lower end of a hub-around chair. ill have to build some killer Hbridges...lol... but what im having trouble finding is the step by step instructions on the adding of the serial ports. I've seen it before but now that i have time and parts it seems to be hidden. Can ya help?plz

  • If you want to spy on a computer, try downloading SpyRecon software. I used it to secretly monitor my daughter's emails.

  • check out my video on how to set of a spy keychain camera as a bicycle helmet cam!

  • how much ? $

  • ehhem the rovio

  • how much is it??

  • DUDE!!! This Is Awesome!!!!

  • Nice project but why a second serials? i thought 1 is only needed

  • Coooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • Where did you take that robot ? And can you control it from anywhere in the world ?

  • no i dont think u can control this from anywhere in the world.

  • wow nice work men,i am at the last year computer engineering, and i want to make my graduation project this one,can you help me please?

  • ta potem michalski popierdala z routerem na takim

  • Can you put that anywhere on the world that has a wifi point and then go in a different country and control it from another wifi point?

  • yes. As long as it keeps the same IP Address.. and someone doesn't decide to steal it. :P

  • Now that's cool....and it doesn't cost $5,000 like the 914 PC-BOT. You've gotta love the WRT54G router for their ability to be modified.

It does still suffer the same fate as most R/C cars...they flip over sometimes...and go down sewers............and get run over by larger cars.

  • For the flip over thing... Just add a Arm or something to flip it back over,,

  • Impressive :)

  • get a gas powered one

  • hmmm i saw this on hack a day but how can you control it via the internet, doesnt it need a modem connected to the router because it is only a router

  • sam, he said it looks for open access points, so it would seem as long as he can jump from router to router he can keep going. Needs GPS locator, ha.

  • cool Im trying to build my own right now, I just dont get it why did you add 2 serials? when you only need 1?

  • From what I've read about hacking these, the contacts for both serial ports are usually next to each other. So it's easier to use a single 10 pin mount and just do both serial ports at once.

  • Only 1 serial port is needed. It's not much work to add a second one, so I did. I also used the second one for debugging the software. Now that's it's debugged, you don't need to worry about that though.

  • :D Fantastic!

  • I suggest using an xbox controller or something to make it more digital, so that you can move slowly or quickly, like throttle and steering.

  • surely you mean more analogue?

  • From what i understand.. with RC cars, digital controllers enable you to have more precise control of the thing, over just, "Stop, reverse, and Go"

  • dude that's awesome, respect! but what would you need a current sensor for?

  • just need active camo

  • Snake are you there? Snake!, Snaaaaaake

  • Awesome stuff!

I wonder if this can be automated to move the router to the best place to connect, for example,a couple of moving laptops,at peak connectivity :D

  • Incrediblastic: Yes that functionality could be implemented.

If I make any additions they'll first be:

    - GPS

    - current sensor

    - headlights =P

  • That Horn reminds of the Humvee horn in Crysis Mulitplayer!

    This is Freaking Sweet man!

  • sweet
