@igvu92 I saw a documentary about music from detroit and there was a part where iggy pop says he didn´t like it that alice cooper took his shit and made big money of it. if I remember correctly
@eteuber60 I just meant in an actual studio with actual mixing, instead of just with everyone standing around whatever 1973's equivalent of a tape recorder was.
When I think about the word "passion", this motherfucker always comes to my mind. I know there are other singers who put their souls on what they do, but...
Wish I could take a drink with him, someday, somewhere...
Is this song and others on that album, like 'Rubber Legs', 'Wet My Bed', 'Cock In My Pocket' etc. from the follow up to 'Raw Power' they never got together before they broke up? This song is great.
I'd agree with that 100% Funhouse is IMO the best rock album ever, and the one of the most adventurous. The only other one I'd call futuristic even now is Roxy Music's "For Your Pleasure."
Never heard Roxy's "for your Pleasure" but thanx for the info cause I love music that still, and always sounds futuristic.Check this if you havent heard the whole album. In my opinion the most futuristic album ever: Bowies 1970 album "The Man who sold the World". Even today it still sounds so far ahead of its time. And with just mainly guitars, bass and drums.
@frankty67 yes, but 'raw power' and post-'raw power' stuff have a soul you cannot find in previous songs. those songs are so emotionally intense i haven't found anything similar.
