You got the people who are crying over memories, but I rather keep playing guild wars and make a memory when I'm satisfied. Not to mention guild wars prepares me for guild wars 2. Trying to train myself to deny my body the pleasures of food to prepare for 10 month period of basement dwelling.

Oh.My.God. Can you say flashbacks? The first couple seconds of this soundtrack gave me shivers...I had the instant feeling of how I felt as a noob. Good times, good times :)
Damn i downloaded all this themes and now i can remeber this music is almost the same as in kotor 1 and 2. It really gives the atmosphere in the game. This music will always carry me to victory!

only prohpecies , without those added heroes and the 3 expansions would have been great :) but since it isn't a pay for play game , they had to make those expansions so that they could keep supporting the game.
@T3rrorzwerg The addons were nice but to problem was that it splitted the community in 3 different areas. Also the henchmen were clearly a issue. Why should i find a group when i got NPC henchman that are 100% loyal to me and wont leave the mission :P
@Empowerless worse yet you had to split the gold and give them a share. they're freaking henchman why do they need gold??? also GW had too many powers and the biggest problem IMO was the split classes. instead of finding out which powers and attributes you need and have 2 classes at half effectivity why not just have people focus on the one class? GW had potential but not something i'd go back to. maybe GW2 would be better? ah well the soundtrack is *GREAT* and that's enough for me =D
@StingKing456 heck yeah! but the split classes would be EPIC if only there werent so many abilities. and since you could only use 8 altogether.... with 2 classes and sooo many abilities it was too hard to concentrate effectively on both when you dont have enough time to do it. but yeah i love the soundtrack ^^ =D
I've been playing this since I was eight. This game is one of my all time favorites. I grew up to my teens playing this game and I still play it currently... This is the greatest theme I've ever heard for a video game. Also, check out the MMO Manifesto on the Guild Wars 2 site. It's the same theme just more "epic".

@Zudi95 Jeremy Soule composed this, you might remember him from Secret of Evermore, Neverwinter Nights, Morrowing and Oblivion. After finding out he did Oblivion, all of GWs tracks started sounding like they belonged in oblivion. Same instruments and everything.
@MrSavior 50 months here too. Still a solid game, it's nice that they're STILL making new content for it, despite saying they were going to stop making content years ago.

I enjoyed playing GW... but after I reached lvl 20 I didn't see any point in continue playing besides just to finish the story... then after that... it's all about item collecting... if only it was harder or longer to get to lvl 20... or if it had more lvls... I probably would have played it more... can't wait for GW 2 thou
yeah guildwars was conceptualized as a massive pvp online game so that's why it has low level cap... the skill of the players does not depend on the stats of their characters but to the choice of skills that they bring in the pvp areas..
yeah. WOW sucks... one of the reasons why i hate WOW is for that cartoon looking.... (puke) that really sucks.. every one search abutment with the reality... :)

I have already reserved my copy of GW2 at Gamestop. Hell I did it before anyone knew about it. And also AION seems like a copy of WoW but is nothing like WoW.
Go to Gamestop. You can reserve and pay for your copy right now. They have the official release date and everything. It's also $50, so I was shocked when I saw it for such a little price.
ANet doesn't have to release it to the public. BUT- Anet HAS TO release it to retailers so that the retailers can prepare for the launch and make a list for reserves, thus why GameStop has the info before anyone else does. And it MAY not be set in stone but I DOUBT ANet and NCSoft will dissappoint us by pushing it back. They were working on GW2 before they thought about working on AION and Lineage 3. But still if GameStop has the release date, I think they may have set it in stone.
This USED to be a great game, USED too, all my friends including me stopped playing it after 6 months of WoW release and some others kept playing it since it was free. Now it is hardly spoken off by any of my friends and all they talk about is WoW Arena Teams and PVP tactics blah blah (DoOH!). I enjoyed this game until it lasted and I DON'T regret a single moment spent on it.
No, thats not what I am saying. What I am saying is that Aion's UI is exactly the SAME as WoW, The map, Buffs, Chat, spells, Health/mana bar, add ons button, Quest shower, and XP bar positions are a total COPY and Paste from WoW to Aion. Its perfectly visible and you must agree with me.
Every MMORPG want to copy from those who took the MMORPG Market to offer a competition, but I was always thought that you must be innovative, better, and different from your competitor to succeed.
ok I agree but there are things that Aion got from himself that makes it special like how the pvp is there with Abyss and having wings. that is someting that for me makes Aion better, especially Abyss
Again, not to put down Aion by any means, But flying was introduced by WoW, no other MMORPG at that time gave the freedom to room around the world as you pleased as much as WoW. That is the type of innovation I aspect, the wings are nice, as visuals though not as an IDEA, I prefer a mount rather than wings pop out, but that just my opinion.
As regards the Abyss, Now that is a PVP idea well exploited, Its new and very Original, for that I do agree with you.
Aion staff never said they introduced flight in MMOs, they said they introduced it as a combat mechanic: you have never fought on your flying mounts, while in Aion you actually use wings in combat. Before Aion only City of Heroes had this feature, now shared probably with Champions Online. Moreover Flying mounts were introduced only with TBC while CoH had already the Fly power. Moreover you cannot fly in any area in WoW, while you can fly everywhere in CoH. So no, it was not introduced by WoW.

I actually bought GW prophecies purely because i loved the noob island, and how magical it is.
not like i even play it anymore, but the music and the graphics were something else.
and after 4 and half years of playing this game, yet i'm still not tired of the it.
especially not tired of the amazing music the game came with.

And the split classes was for like creativity. Look at some of the player builds,lol.
IMO its the best online game of all time,but we all have opur own opinion :)

I enjoyed playing GW... but after I reached lvl 20 I didn't see any point in continue playing besides just to finish the story... then after that... it's all about item collecting... if only it was harder or longer to get to lvl 20... or if it had more lvls... I probably would have played it more... can't wait for GW 2 thou

yeah guildwars was conceptualized as a massive pvp online game so that's why it has low level cap... the skill of the players does not depend on the stats of their characters but to the choice of skills that they bring in the pvp areas..

I have already reserved my copy of GW2 at Gamestop. Hell I did it before anyone knew about it. And also AION seems like a copy of WoW but is nothing like WoW.

Go to Gamestop. You can reserve and pay for your copy right now. They have the official release date and everything. It's also $50, so I was shocked when I saw it for such a little price.

ANet doesn't have to release it to the public. BUT- Anet HAS TO release it to retailers so that the retailers can prepare for the launch and make a list for reserves, thus why GameStop has the info before anyone else does. And it MAY not be set in stone but I DOUBT ANet and NCSoft will dissappoint us by pushing it back. They were working on GW2 before they thought about working on AION and Lineage 3. But still if GameStop has the release date, I think they may have set it in stone.

This USED to be a great game, USED too, all my friends including me stopped playing it after 6 months of WoW release and some others kept playing it since it was free. Now it is hardly spoken off by any of my friends and all they talk about is WoW Arena Teams and PVP tactics blah blah (DoOH!). I enjoyed this game until it lasted and I DON'T regret a single moment spent on it.

eee, Aion is a COPY of WoW, nothing innovative in it, even the UI is the same....,
For now WoW is the most popular MMORPG and it will take more than Aion to take over its position.
P.S I dont play WoW anymore coz I got fed up of it (about a year ago I think), so NO, Im not defending WoW because I play it or a Fan of it.
I compare Aion with Warhammer online or LOTR online, was gonna say Age of Conan but that has gone down to much.

No, thats not what I am saying. What I am saying is that Aion's UI is exactly the SAME as WoW, The map, Buffs, Chat, spells, Health/mana bar, add ons button, Quest shower, and XP bar positions are a total COPY and Paste from WoW to Aion. Its perfectly visible and you must agree with me.
Every MMORPG want to copy from those who took the MMORPG Market to offer a competition, but I was always thought that you must be innovative, better, and different from your competitor to succeed.

ok I agree but there are things that Aion got from himself that makes it special like how the pvp is there with Abyss and having wings. that is someting that for me makes Aion better, especially Abyss

Again, not to put down Aion by any means, But flying was introduced by WoW, no other MMORPG at that time gave the freedom to room around the world as you pleased as much as WoW. That is the type of innovation I aspect, the wings are nice, as visuals though not as an IDEA, I prefer a mount rather than wings pop out, but that just my opinion.
As regards the Abyss, Now that is a PVP idea well exploited, Its new and very Original, for that I do agree with you.

Aion staff never said they introduced flight in MMOs, they said they introduced it as a combat mechanic: you have never fought on your flying mounts, while in Aion you actually use wings in combat. Before Aion only City of Heroes had this feature, now shared probably with Champions Online. Moreover Flying mounts were introduced only with TBC while CoH had already the Fly power. Moreover you cannot fly in any area in WoW, while you can fly everywhere in CoH. So no, it was not introduced by WoW.
