  • After doing some research I found out that this version was recorded live in the early 80's in Reno Nevada. The singers on this group was Tony Butala, Donovan Tea and Ernie Pontiere. I will do more research on this particular song.

  • Is this with Bobby? I loved the way the three of them sounded together.

  • @ArchSupporter Yes, I'm pretty sure Bobby P is part of this song!

  • i dedicate this song to my tatang before he died in feb.26,1995.

  • My favorite "Phantom" number, beautifully done by the Lettermen. Thanks for posting.

  • I will do some research on trying to find the live version. I remember playing this song on my radio show, and I believe that it was from a 1984 concert. At the end of the number during the applause, I could hear Tony Butala say "BRAND NEW". I will let you know lettermen1

  • Thanks Jazz, don't think I've heard the "live" Version.

  • Wow phil!!they sing that at concerts at times. Anne

  • Thanks. Hope it goes down well at the concerts!

  • Nice video L1.

Wow! a song from my most favorite West End (Broadway) musical!

Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman duo has set the bar so high but The Lettermen has successfully done it again.

Gerard Butler & Emmy Rossum also gave justice to the song in the movie version.

(Shes in my All of a Sudden & Are You Lonesome Tonight videos.)

    Thanks. 65R:)

  • i meant Gerard Butler & Emmy Rossum DID justice to the song in the movie. 65R:)
