Where were you standing?! I kept waiting for the cameraman to start moving away or something. Amazing to see a single blade of grass when the lava first touches it... it flares up in flames, topples over into the flow and is utterly consumed.

Good-bye Kipuka! Goodbye trees.  I don't think the birds are singing, I think they are worrying....they sound agitated. Amazing sound on this video - i feel like I am in the midst of he crackling , toppling and sizzling... Pele is so powerful.
