I love Dragon Ball Z, but as I have grown up, I have come to see that they utterly rape Vegeta's character in the series. Why did Toei even bother making Vegeta Goku's rival if he was just going to sit there and baby Goku while Vegeta has to struggle and he still isn't up to par. I meant Goku's final battle against Kid Buu...he tries to fight at SS2 first and then he goes SS3.
When he is SS2 he resists Buu's attacks rather well and he puts up a rather good fight...whereas Vegeta was completely outclassed.
I've just checked and Vegeta fights Kid Buu at SS1 in the anime,but in the manga he's SS2.
Majin Vegeta fought Fat Buu at SS2 state and Goku did it at SS3.
