The way this game looked was so amazing before they made it more "kid-friendly". If they had stuck to their guns and released it like the way we see here and in a couple other demo runs, this game would have made it BIG.

@KirbyCory. I've never had a dull moment with Spore. I have no idea what you guys are talking about. With sight toward end results which arrive more quickly than doing it yourself by writing code or whatnot, Spore ranks way up there with many other game-builders. Yes, there are limitations depending on what you're trying to do. You can be cutesy with it or you can be ferocious. But as for boring, that's up to you.

I wouldn't say science ended up in the game in the end. It didn't have a solid implementation of the true processes behind evolution, etc.

That being said, I fucking love Will Wright. I'd love to have tools like this for ACTUAL game design.
