Sleeved means that the open deck design of a honda motor is reinforced with cast iron sleeves instead of the material honda uses in their motors for the cylinder walls. Cast iron will hold a lot more pressure than the stock walls. You don't always need new pistons and rods for it. I was running a stock internal b17, just sleeved with ITR pistons, except same rod length/stroke.

engines for civics are not that big of a deal, u can still use all your turbo parts and some of the engine parts for ur next motor....

soch or dohc both are good with turbo....sleeved just means the cylinder bores are taken care of, u need new rods and pistons to go with that
