Vlingo was out far before Siri and it recognizes voices better i know i have both Samsung s2 and the 4s guess what i sold my 4s cause its a overpriced version of the SG2.
Dude its nothing but a feature how is that a rip off? 2nd even if it is a rip off how do you know apple didn't steal the idea from someone else? Does that mean every car in the world is a rip off of Henry Fords car? Just b/c something is original doesn't mean its the best, Henry Ford created the car but honda's and Toyota are better.
@berendsrob Not fake man, it's in my S II, but it's not as advertised. Sometimes it works, sometimes it guesses wrongly, it's so frustrating! Siri is much better as far as I know.
@pmo026 yeah, especially because you have to memorize specific commands and can't speak freely. this is plain old voice recognition. no semantic intelligence whatsoever. think about it.

Ya awesome, but it requires a data plan to process the voice! Why can't the "dual core" processor do the work instead of sending the voice to Vlingo's servers?

Check out the other videos on our YouTube channel. You'll see many live demos in the same style as how Apple showed off Siri earlier this month.

So why aren't they doing a REAL on-screen demo like Apple did with Siri? This looks really fake...

Give 1:26 to apple fans and they will be cheering like there is no tomorrow. I like to think of android owners as having disciplined expectations.

@RobinRichardRajan so actually this vlingo is a cloud service?
RoyMcAvoy 4 months ago
@RoyMcAvoy Yea, coz when you speak, it uploads your voice data to its servers, decodes, and then sends the instructions back to your phone.
