  • Can't say the iBook G3 really looks good. I can't help but think "I'd hate to be seen walking around College with one of those"

But I guess at the time it looked really good. I remember when I was really young and saw one of the Bondi iMacs, always thought it was top of the range in those days.

  • does it use a charger and how can it be upgarded

  • @ehtasham10 Are you serious? Yes it does use a charger, battery was dud so needed to be run off the charger to use it. You can open these up and upgrade Ram/Hard Drive but TBH it's not worth the hassle, atleast for the HDD.

  • That iBook sucks my dick

  • @MyJesse1010 You sir are a moron.

  • He's such a kiwi :)

  • Do you think i can put an AirPort card into my PowerMac G4? Please answer!

  • @AppleGuy6789 Yes you can, My Powermac G4 Digital Audio has a Airport card. Pretty useless in this day in age since they only run on Wireless B and don't support current WPA etc...

  • hey i got the same that machine is awsome

  • This iBook Clamshell is 1 year older then my iMac G3

Could i Put a Airport card in My iMac G3?

  • @KayakServer The iMac G3 Slot Loading can have an Airport Card with a adapter, don't think the Tray Loading can.

  • @macman2256 the tray loading cant

  • @KayakServer yes u can!! but u must use the older style 802.11 b/g adapter from apple.

  • @boyuchuadaniel Lol Wondering if Jaguar Supports WiFi

I'm Winning Mac OS X Jaguar and 128 MB PC66

BTW iMac G3 is Bondi Blue Tray loader

  • @KayakServer yes jag do support wifi.

  • @boyuchuadaniel cool!

I Might End Up Getin Panther 2 :)

  • u rally suck at holding a camera!

  • @sepehrseb and you 'Really' suck at spelling :P

  • Hey sir can you give me the model number of ur airport? I want to buy one that fits into mine.

  • @jcer93705 Hi, I honestly can't remember, all the cards that look like this should work fine, they fit the g3's g4's. My powermac G4 has the same airport card.

  • OMG. LMFAO AT THE SPECS. But pretty color.

  • @TheOn3LeftBehind LOL, just remember this computer is from 1999.

  • @macman2256 Oh yeah. It's just funny to think about since we came so far! LOL

  • @macman2256 Yea, It's crazy how we have gone from 300mhz cpu's to 6 core 3.2ghz cpu's lol.

  • You have the same mouse that I have, Logitech MX518.

    Nice ibook.

  • I found 2 that I want to buy. one is $125 (upgraded and comes with airport) and one is $10 ( not so sure) GOTTA LOVE EBAY

  • this would be a great work computer, to take notes in class and music. Sweet!

  • i just bought one off ebay for 35.00 free shipping

  • i want one lolerz idc how old they are ther kool looking

  • Yes, they look cool, I love the design and look of the ibook Clamshell. They are around 11 years old now, If i recall correctly they came out with the iMacs in 1998-1999

  • the ibook g3 clamshell can have up to a 120gb hd and 579mb ram and 466mhz processor and mac os x tiger so it's acctually pretty advanced for 1999! think about in 1999 if you had one of these you would have the fastest computer of your time, i bet an old dell from 1999 wouldnt work as good as this

  • @Time123123 the 466 isn't 1999 its early 2001

  • @Time123123

Pft, if it's a dell it would have died in 2000 xD In my A+ CompTIA class the dells keep randomly dieing and have to be switched out. And they're only a couple years old!

  • @codeythesilent lol, i have a Dell Latitude C610 with windows xp and it still works fine, just the latch for the battery is broken! :)

  • Where can you find an airport card for one of these except mine has 366 megs and it is running os x 10.2.8?

  • hay were did u get the mac and is it heavy

  • i feel kind of sorry for you u should of saved for at least a macbook

  • Did you see the 24" high end imac in the background. I purchase these as vintage machines to play around with, not to use as a main machine

  • You're pretty dumb, arn't you? G3's own.

  • i bought mine for 5.00!!! woot alot less then yours

  • yeah , but your ibook cant play YouTUbe!!

  • yea but thats why i got my hackintosh and my desktop pc (aghh) i only use mine for radio and ichat soon im planing to get the iBook G4 same place i got my iBook G3 but for only 10.00 :)

  • where do you get it so cheap?

  • auctions usually from schools that try to sell them then they get cheap ass's like me my fav place is spence's bazar open tuesday friday and saturday and i fuged on the ibook price think lower like 5.00 srry

  • Download it and run in quicktime, runs fine.

  • man you were lucky to get one for $5!!!

  • Thanks for sharing that was really great :)

  • why would you buy it i mean even for 60 bucks u get what u pay for a 3.2gb hdd u cant store anything on it

  • I purchased this as I have a huge interest in Vintage Apple Technology. Yea i know it was beyond gutless and the storage space was pathetic but at the time is was great. Funny how much tech has changed I paid 111$ for my 640gb HDD LOL. BTW its in New Zealand Dollars

  • Ur a Kiwi!

  • Yep, im a kiwi

  • Me too!

  • I will buy that Clamshell 100 dollas

  • How small your dock is... (in the iMac)

  • Make sure you upgrade your firmware on this before you install OSX. It's an easy install but the OSX won't "take" without it.

  • When I got my iBook, it was bigger than it looked in photos and videos. Did you find that?

  • Yea, It seemed bigger than my old NEC Versa S970 Which had a 15.4 display.

  • Thats awesome man! I almost bought one of those just after christmas.

    Cool video dude.

    Jon

  • Yea, the imac is the best computer i have ever owned

  • that machines runs OS X Tiger just fine! I have the same one just laying around

  • If i want to run tiger i have to hack it as it does not have firewire

  • no hacking needed all you have to do is take the hard drive out and put it into a computer that does have firewire and install tiger on it then plop it back in. That easy!

  • Yea, i know that, do you know how much pissing around it takes to get the hdd out, its not ovally easy, And its not worth it with a 300mhz processor. Anyway i sold this ibook yesterday and made a decent profit. as it was a little underpowered for the basic tasks i wanted to do with it

  • u can swap teh harddrives around and somewhere i heard the cd version of tiger works without firewire
