I am 22, so I have no emotional connection to the suffering of the Jews in WWII. I do, however, have an emotional connection to 9/11. But with this song, I still cry because the music and the musicians' expressions really portray the sadness and pain in this song. Even if I wasn't alive during this period, I still feel as if I can get a glimpse of that pain (even if the slightest glimpse). I hope that makes sense, because it's the best I can explain what I feel with this song.
