No one goes to prison for smoking marijuana. People return to prison for parole violation. What is that violation? Testing positive for a controlled substance. What substance? Marijuana. This is the only drug that remains in the system long enough to test for. Each year tens of thousands of parolees are returned to prison for to serve the duration of their sentence for this violation. They become "frequent flyer's" by smoking marijuana while on parole.

This is what you get when you outsource running prisons to private for profit corporations. Over 2 million people incarcerated as a result of private for profit corporations running prisons.
