@grimTales1 Yes it was!!! In fact - in Denver's book - (Take Me Home) - he mentions that he was playing (writing) this song in his music room - and Annie overheard it - stuck her head in the room and asked "Is that one for me?"

She had divorce papers served to John - on their 15th wedding anniversary - while he was on a short tour!!!

@Earthlinked But dispite what image he had he wasn't all swetness and light. He took a chainsaw and cut everything in half starting with the maritual bed! So small wonder she divorced him. I llike his music but never cared for the actual person once I saw the facade he lived behind.

He cut ONLY the kitchen table in half with a chain saw - because Annie had cut down 2 trees that they planted the day they moved in. And no - he was not all peaches and cream - he was a human - with emotions, fears and sometimes simple poor judgement. And she divorced him - served him divorce papers on their 15th wedding anniversary - she could have waited a week or so!!!!! And you are wrong - Denver was a wonderfl person!

He has perfected every letter, lyrics in the expression of his music. I listened to them very often and tried to digest and feel the messages of his songs. I come here at night when I am lonely, and watch and listen to John's music and videos. His music is the best medicine when you are down. He left us the same year I lost my husband. Listening to him and playing his cd's helps me get through the evening. I miss them both so much.
