Sliding stop mishap

I got that in my first sliding stop ever - I never knew my horse would be that direct in her stop, so I nearly fell off her, just like in this clip :')

Haha Kick yer legs forward to counter-act it! And look up. If you're looking between your horse's ears, you eat mane like that. lol.

@vikkij91 well this isn't me. and if you can see in the video he actually did put his legs forward but hardly sat down like he is supposed to because he did not expect the mare to put on her brakes like she did. just a silly mishap anyhow, noone got hurt.

shes not mine and was being ridden by my reining trainer's old assistant. she isnt bred real well but is good enough for what her owners want her to do.

Poor horse lol She's stopping all in her front. I've seen other videos though, so I wont lecture you on her breaking up her front end.

I know what you mean. Slide all depends on the rider. I had an old mare I was training who slid and spun, owners never knew, and I didn't even knew until I started to ask for it. Reining is all in the rider.

yeah i know. but the horse has to be trained for it properly as well.
