@Fallschirmjaeger963 Not significantly. The point of the spoilers is to "spoil" the airflow over the wing which significantly reduces the lift being generated. This allows the weight of the plane to go onto the wheels, which allows much higher brake forces to be used. The brakes and reverse thrust of the engines do most of the slowing down, the spoilers are mainly just to reduce the lift from the wings.
@captain150 i thought that it'd slow down much faster, because like that /_ the air flows easier above the wings..._\ and like this less airflow and faster slowdown?
@Fallschirmjaeger963 In a sense you are right, the problem with what you are saying is this: the air spoilers are not only used for breaking the airflow over the wing on the groundroll while slowing down; they are also used in high speed flight .At high speed the aircraft will use differential spoilers to bank as the use of ailerons can have an unstable effect. the differential spoilers are more stable and help to bank the plane. if they were inverted this could not occur.
no you guys are all wrong this is a 456 lemon freeride spaceship with something called candy flaps... its this spacy technology that none of you wouldm understand caus im bill cosby jr.

@DiNoZs1 Through a very complicated system, Each flap section is a wing, Each section runs on a track like a roller coaster and that track is hidden by the flap pylon. Each section of flap is designed to move out at a certain setting and increase the AOA (Angle of Attack) at certain settings.
ever stop to think those wings are holding all the weight of the aircraft the all the weight of all the junk they cary and all the weight of all the people on board.
This pilot went crazy ! He frikin landed that plane at almost full speed !! (slight exaggeration but u get the point)

question: if spoilers would be set inverted, so not like this : WIND -> /_
but like this: WIND -> _\
would the plane brake faster?

@phurdlernz1 Or at least it COULD occur, but you would be left with on severely broken aeroplane :P hope that makes sense
