I'm doing something different from your version but with the same method: the wacom bamboo with max msp, i'm collecting the data from it through the wacom object.
Everything works great but I can't get the tilt infos...
just an update - a lot of people have been asking about this patch. the max object that integrates wacom devices is unfortunately not totally stable in ableton... has to do with the object loosing focus when nested in the M4L host. I will post it as soon as I can though!

I own a cintiq 12wx, and i am looking for some software to turn the my cintiq wacom tablet into a stylophone beat box. Any ideas? after weeks of web surfing this video is the closest i can come to what im trying to achieve. I think im going to have to write my own app for it if this turns to a dead end here.
amazing work - sounds brilliant - not just the usual 'noodle' with people experimenting.... a great way to get a proper bit of performance out of ableton. very impressive stuff.
more people need to see your videos...they are very well made and your music is very listenable. I feel a bit of a Jean-michel Jarre influence in the beats...Nice job.
You need a free external to port the data into MSP, it is available on CNMATs page as part of their MMJ Depot library. The external was written by Jean-Michel Courutier, Richard Dudas, and Michael Zbyszynski.
Don't know the model but it looks like a costier one since it reads tilt. (Or maybe my old graphire4 is just old and they didn`t read tilt at that time)
Sounds great! This reminds me on that computer program I once downloaded from the BBC website and with which you could use your computer desktop screen as a theremin ;-)
I think this tablet is way more stable & secure (precise)!
Thatprogram I downloaded worked with a mouse ... Tablets ARE more intuitive & sensitive! One of my friends uses such kinda tablet for drawing ... They look simular ;-)
Yes the tablet is extremely high resolution, I actually convert it to an audio signal to drive the synthesis but there are tens of thousands of sensors across each access.

Hi, i have a question for you if you can help to me. I use ableton live 7, manual says:
"Note that Live will only display video for video clips residing in the Arrangement View.
Movie files that are loaded into the Session View are treated as audio clips".
I'd like to display my movie files into the Session View when i shoot them with my midi surface...it is possible with max for live?

Cool. Inspiring too. I may have to pull out my Wacom and see if I can come up with a few humble patches for personal use.

plus the tablet is super intuitive and expressive, it has 5 degrees of control, x/y pressure and tilt x/y, by far my favorite controller
