how to customize menus on dvd flick

I love DVD FLICK but am a retard at the computer lingo you all are saying...there is a couple of programs with menus I love and like to create them into dvd flick with there buttons but have no clue on how since I am not a computer dictionary and have no clue what people are saying...there suggest link has closed

every time I try to preview a template I made the program closes. I had labled the pictures .bmp like supposed to but tried .gif after reading the other comments. no matter what i do it never works out. any help?

@ethankhaolcom I always found that it was easier to edit the existing files rather than to try and create my own as the pictures have to be the exact same size as the existing ones and the existing ones already have the presets for where the buttons go. hope this helps

@geekydude21 yes that is what i did was edit them. the pictures are 786x576 and have been renamed and replaced the existing files like in the video. but when i go to preview them it closes. Ive compared the scripts of the original templates and couldn't find any real difference in the way they were setup.

@geekydude21 yah i edited the pics but it's still not working on anything i try. theyre all the same size as the originals, same format, and same name. idk what else to do. and i keep getting an i/o error from img burn.

@ethankhaolcom I don't know if you are still having trouble with this, but if you are, I had a similar problem come up. It turned out that even though the file name was written as .bmp, the file had actually been saved as a Jpeg and the program couldn't read it. Double check to make sure that the file is saved as a bitmap image.

@ethankhaolcom go to tempelates, then don't make another folder but put you're picture in the folder party. change the name in audioselect and all the othershit and delete the original pictures. then it works :) i did the same

@ethankhaolcom You can't change a JPG to a BMP by just changing the file name, as the video poster says. You have to convert the file from one format to another. You can use MSPAINT to do this by opening your JPG file and choosing "SAVE AS" from the files menu and save it as a BMP file.

For best results, google an image with 768 x 576 (h x w) or 1024 x 768 ( h x w) and resize it to this first size i mentioned.

Other wise DVD Flick will stech your image and it will look out of proportion like this guys image of The Rock.

okay if author is encoding it says error that mean u dint preview your main make sure to preview your main it tell it works or it dosent

If access is denied drag coppied folder to your desktop then edit the files then drag it back into the DVD flick folder and click continue on admin rights popup

It is VERY important that the image that you are replacing is resized to 768x576. Unless you manipulate the image size in the template.

now if you want to see the buttons kindly get it from the net and make sure the size is 10-30kb notting more notting less make sure its bmp some will not read

note if your dvdflick close that means all other button you got form the net are not capable in the movie

for background image you can use jpg but others uses bmp but use jpg for good menu stting

i think this means tht the picture u r tryin to use is small compared to the menu screen so it stretches the pictures to make it fit the screen which causes pixels to show more. try a bigger picture like 1024x840 sumtin along those lines. hope this helps

@kemponinja this means that it isn't a real GIF file. just adding .GIF after an image file won't do it. you have to open a GIF image file and then edit it. hope this helps
