@pb0o6 Well, it's a clear and direct message to YouTube that posting this video, owned by Person L and not myself, onto a public resource is "not copyright infringement."
YouTube keeps blabbering (especially to many of the videos I try to upload) that I am infringing on copyright laws, but because 1) I am not selling or distributing the music directly to individuals (such as by shareware, downloads, etc.) and 2) the artist is credited, it is wholly in my right to publish these videos.
@roseking900 no actually it's not your right to do that, the only reproduction that can be legally done is by the record label, but i don't really care, just thought you should know.
@BenSmerg Actually, "reproduction" in the legal sense only refers to that of CDs, file-sharing, things like that. Notice I do not provide a download link for these songs, nor do I ever promote any type of unpaid file-sharing. To put something on YouTube, which is to play music in a public domain, is a different case. Because you have to come back to this video in order to listen to the song, I have not 'reproduced' the song in this manner. Although, if the band/label asks me to take down the...
@roseking900 ..video, then by law I must comply. For example, I had a song uploaded here a while back called "Are You Man Enough," and Dave Elkins personally asked me to take it down. I did, by request. So long as this music stays in the public domain of listening, I don't promote the individual downloading of it, and it is not taken down by request of interested parties, it is legal. In fact, a lot of the bands I upload get more direct publicity and listeners from what I am doing. 'Nuff said.
i saw these guys live the other day, opening for taking back sunday, i met them all after. kenny said i was his favorite, and signed my copy of the positives "thanks for being great"
It's all a matter of opinion. One isn't better or worse than the other. Just different. And anyone who says such and such is better than such and such needs to not be so close-minded. You'd be surprised what bands YOUR favorite bands listen to.
PS saw Person L last night @ Cat's Cradle on the first show of the Copeland tour. AMAZING.
Copeland was fucking sick weren't they? I saw them in Chicago at the Metro the other night too and they put on an epic show. They're so fuckin chill too. I definatly have much more respect for such artists after seeing them live.
kenny vasoli he also is the lead singer for the starting line. hes pretty fucking awesome basically. person l is way beter in my opinion. just cause indie rapes punk

I didn't think when I first heard the song that it'd be so catchy, and that it'd often find itself in my head so many times. :)

The starting line was incredible when Kenny was 18 and I was in high school. Always good to feel like artists grow up with you.

@MoonDragon90 He only said 2011 because generally bands do reunion shows/tours 2 years after breakup. He wasn't serious.
I asked him.
