Ohio Players, Wild Cherry, O'Jays, Jackson Five, Tavares, KC & Sunshine Band, and the Brothers Gibb(BeeGees/Saturday Night Fever) that kept so many on their feet at Studio 54.

My roommate is Rusty, the Bass player for the REAL Trammps with Jimmy Ellis , Bobby Upchurch , Doc & Stanley Wade and many of the original guys..getting older but arent we all ..Earl young was the Bass singer & Drummer . Unfortunately we just lost the great voice of Jimmy Ellis to Alzheimers recently.

Yes, and the performance with the original lead was SO much more powerful. I was glad that TJ Lubinsky from PBS decided to bring in the originals. They also improved the sound of the band. Something is missing from this one.

I was out clubbing in Philly when they were out. They appeared a lot and performed and I even got to know them from one club I was a vip memmber. This is NOT Jimmy Ellis and the Trammps. The Trammps began in Philadelphia in 1972 featuring vocalist, Jimmy Ellis, Harold Doc Wade, Stanley Wade and Earl Young and traveled with as many as 11 members!

We saw the The Trammps last Saturday nite a@ Harrah's Casino in Chester Pennsylvania. We shoke hands with the Jimmy Ellis Lead Singer. The show was great just as I remember them approx 29 years ago at a Dico called "Someplace Else" in Cherry Hill New Jersey.
