This is a great plan for a box but unessasry. i made a box like this and one similar to waxed board productions and they are both very sturdy and the other one prob costed half as much and its longer
Ya yo udon't need pressure treated or cedar wood you can just use pine because with the snow and ice i wont rott because there is no water and i left a piece of pine burried under like 2 feet of snow for the whole winter and it is acctually stronger...
Use pressure treated wood, and galvanized steel screws - pre drill guild holes for you screws, so the wood won't crack and lose strength - thus lasting MUCH longer. only flaws i can see in this video. :P
if you just put side pannels on it made out of particle board, you dont really even need pressure treated wood. As long as in the summer you store it on top of something so the box isnt sitting in mud and water then you should be good
Plus if u countersink with a drive bit into a 2X4 it helps to stop rust and also u dont want to rip your snowpants if you accidentilly fall off and ride up against it
i did it cause the screws were buggy and would go in right away...so that just seemed to work. Yea i know im not the best carpenter in the world but it ended up workin great. soo im happy.
dont put your garbage on her car, whats wrong with you!? lol jk. nice video guys.

Remember when you are making and taking measurements that a 2x4 board is
1-3\4 by 3-3\4 because of the planing process.

OLIONProductions 3 years ago
soo... you countersink with your drive bit... thats a first.
and also, you don't need to countersink, its not fine carpentry. plus its will countersink itself.
also if you do this again consider drilling a pilot hole when your going through a 2x4...
that is also one of the worst ways to make a sound box shape
