Woooow ! Incredible ! Never seen Adam in german TV in the 60th!
And never heard this title, too.
Today i believe, the only guys with a good management were Cliff R. and also the Shadows. Billy Fury, Eden Kane, Mike Sarne and all those buddies were only in our british Radio Station BFN (Germany), never on screen. Thanks, nyrainbow4 !
I was at the summer show he did in 64 at the Margate Winter Gardens, I went 5 times in the week, he was brilliant, and as for the Roulettes, they knew their stuff, the whole house shook with this music, Ill never forget it..........BRING BACK 60S MUSIC
cripes ! this was always Adam Faith's rockingest UK release, but I never realised he got to perform it in the USA, and with the Isleys on backup no less !! Maybe an inspiration for Team America World Police, but surely could have kicked off the acting career a bit earlier if he'd auditioned for a part in Thunderbirds ?
I consider myself very lucky to have known what the world felt like in the days of the UK's big classy influence to the music scene. There was a feeling then that each new year was bringing in something very creatively fresh. Today I hear too many songs that have a re-cycled and automated production as though it's all for some far off background of whatever else people are doing in their day....
Once upon a time, it was more up front and so much more alive.
This is an awesome song, and Adam Faith was such an inspiration, not only to 1960s British rock fans, but also to the creators of Team America World Police and Max Headroom.
Oh c'mon, don't tell me you don't see it, even just a little bit... :-D
@dahur Today's music is dismal. This morning I was on a bus and heard some. It evoked in me depression, plus gratitude that I am not young now. I respect the sixties and can see the music and culture of that time is far, far more interesting than anything today. But the 60's (and the 70's) were preludes to something even greater...The 80's!
For me, there will never be another era like the 60's. I miss those times, and the music so much. Thanks to YouTube, I can hear songs like this one. I don't recall hearing Adam Faith, Cliff Richard, and so many others from the UK on my AM radio back then, (maybe they weren't played much here in the States). This is one great song.
"It's Alright" really shows Faith and his then-new group The Roulettes slammin' it out with the best of 'em. It opens with Faith and his guitar quietly moaning out "Well, if you want me it's alright, alright, alright." Moment of silence. Then, all hell breaks loose. Faith shrieks "WELL IF YA WANT ME 'SALRIGHT! as the band springs into action right along with him. The result is a surprisingly tough piece of fast-paced, no-holes-barred, smokin' British beat rock 'n' roll.
smooth cat! his jump into the twist break is classic! i still have this on a 45 and some day i'll upgrade to ipod......someday

I think 98% of today's music is rubbish.
