  • Wow! I didn't know there was men's RG!!!!! I do RG (for women) and have been bugging my brother to start Men's Gymnastics because gymnastics is really fun and gest you in shape, but now I will bug him about men's RG!!!! I think it looks more graceful and harder than Men's Gymnasitcs.

  • @1123atem

i think its still a pretty small sport, based in japan or other asian countries. i havn't seen much of it around (except for one guy who came out to australia where i am and trained with us for a while)

its really amazing! they can tumble while throwing apparatus into the air and catching it afterwards. it's like all the gymsports mushed together :D

  • WOW!!!!! PLEASE TELL ME THE WON.

  • Does anyone know where I can find the music ?

  • @1missbendy1

Well, little miss giggle. So what?!

Plumbing was started by the greeks and romans. Does that mean that only greek people should have running water and toilets? Don't be so closed to new ideas.

  • The crowd is rather bolsterous. I'm guessing it was a show instead of a competition.

  • The crowds in Japan are always this crazy at gymnastics competitions.

  • seems like more of mens ballet mixed with gymnastics, but not dane like rythmic gym. more just like ballet {with a couple of flips and stuff}

  • even though thats a little gay, its pretty impressive

  • nice

  • thats amazing!

  • That was awesome.

  • Not bad really. Men's RG is not like women's RG exactly. I really didn't know that in their RG there are no flexible moves or even ropes, hoops, balls, or these kinds of apparatus. They use some artistic moves but it's good that men can have their own RG, too. Why not?

    -Hooby-

P.S: But I still can't get it. Usually they say a rule in RG says a routine should finish less than 2:50 minutes but the men continued performing more than that or is it because they have their own rules?

  • im not sure of the rules in mens RG, but i think group routines (4 or more people) has a longer time allowance. (i think)

  • Thanks for information.

    -Hooby-

  • The ending is totally cool

  • why is it horrible? i think that at the moment men's rg is prettier than most women's because in women's the routines are not well choreographed and are aimed to show off trick after trick. i do rg and i'm a girl and would like to see less focus on being skinny and showing goff flexibilty and more focus on making routines as beautiful as this.

what surprises me is the way men can do rg without losing their "masculinity" (yeah that sounds corny).

  • i totally agree. i do RG and lately, routines just seem mechanical since focus is less on dance moves and more on the elements.

  • what a beautiful freehand Kur! I like it very much to watch this! It's fun to see men doing this also

  • im a gymnast and i think you should stick to rings, bars, floor etc i dident like it sos

  • I so agree

  • It's beautiful. Nuts2379, grow up.

  • People like nutsa2379 really annoy me. It's that kind of immature attitude that keeps men's rhythmic and artistic gymnastics on the fringe.

I personally love this vid and routine, especially when they all fall and the fan girls go wild.

  • I've seen it done well, where it looked like very crouching tiger hidden dragon type martial arts. With great handling of the equipment (Flag, clubs, pole, juggling hoops, etc.) and it actually looked almost cool... so I think it has a place if it is done better than it was shown here

  • Where is the equipment? It looks to me more like synchronized acro/dance. I needs less Acro and MORE focus on body technique and precise body lines, balance, etc. I've seen an interesting display of Men's Rhythmic that looked more like martial arts, that was cool... this is weird

  • It is horrible!

  • Hopefully the tumbling will allow RG to be more popular in the Western hemisphere where women's RG is like obsolete compared to the East (here any gymnastics on TV is artistic). It's a win win situation.

This routine is gorgeous btw, I love it!!

  • This is Rhythmic Gymnastics!!! I think it's so amazing that this sport is growing in popularity that they've actually adapted it for men. Men are not taking it over, the sport is evolving just like all other great sports do. Men's RG is not overshadowing women's RG, but simply increasing RGs merit in the world. In men's gymnastics they also use equpiment like clubs, ball, hoop, etc. Some are a little differently shaped, and they include tumbling passes.

  • even though i think its cool looking

  • i dont see why when women finaly got their own sport men have to come in a try to take over it. its not rhythmic gymnastics anyways. if it was no acrobatics would be aloud. rhythmic gymnastics is a womans sport. and it should stay that way.

  • men's rhythmic is different. they have different rules, different apparatus, they are not taking over womens RG. it is a completely different sport.

  • i didn't know there was such thing as men's rythmic gymnastics o_O

    Thanks for letting me know!

  • ...this is why people think men's gymnastics is gay

  • crazy.. they are in PERFECT synch. it's insane!

  • Stupid synch.... just nuts
