RYAN PLEASE REPLY TO THIS!!!! you made a mistake. I own a Nikon D5000, and I have been using it for a long long time. You dont have to keep holding the AE button. You can go to it's settings and adjust the controls to AE hold, which allows you to just click it instead of hold the button.

As far as I know the GH1 is the only one of these cameras with a dedicated "Record" button. Video was not an afterthought, and the flip-out LCD makes a world of difference. Not to mention the size, weight, ability to shoot on SDHC and cost. I do like Canon's offerings, but at the time I got my GH1; Canon didn't have 24p or manual control. If you want to see the trailer to the feature-length horror film we shot on the GH1, just look over to the right in related videos: I Didn't Come Here To Die.

By Reviewing these Cameras, FIlmriot is sparing the Beginning/aspiring filmmakers the trouble of reviewing the cameras themselves. And since Ryan and crew have that experience to give such reviews, their thoughts on the cameras are most welcome. If you just want pure effects, just search Google "Film effects tutorials" But you'll lose out on the awesome commentary that is Filmriot.

Quite honestly I'm not liking your videos lately. It's all dslr that and dslr this. Personally I liked filmriot back when you showed us how to do and make stuff. That way we were able to be creative and get good ideas from your experiances. Now, all filmriot is in my own opinion is a big adverstisement for these "dslr" camera's.
