@Dabigonesbaby do not take it back i had the same problem all you have to do is take the shell off and there is a gear to push back down it is in case the propeller hits some thing it is to protect it
@Dabigonesbaby i just got this for my step son for christmas today and i did a lil bit of digging on it there are screws on the right hand side take them out then there are 3 gears as soon as u take the half off u need to puch the lil gear back down on the motor but before u puck the half back on take an x-acto knife and cut a lil peice on the top of the half u took off that way when and it will happens again just take a tooth pick and push it back down
one more thing? Today i started using it, and hair got caught in the axel, i took it out, and now it flies, but keeps on drifting when i get it up in the air, the cockpit also drifts and the Trimmer doesn't work, should i return it and buy another one?
@banesos Why not sure go for it, mine is very stable and goes where I point it very smooth. They will not hover in one place they always move in the direction of the nose. So control it from the nose as the nose come close to something swing the nose back the way it came. Practice smooth ovals like a racetrack in the living room and keep the same elevation using good power management on the left stick. Avoid hitting things these choppers are tough but not bullet proof or hair proof lol.
@banesos If you fly with others this means each flyer can fly his chopper on his own channel up to 3 flyers A, B or C. Two flyers cannot fly on the same channel that will not work at all.
@banesos I'm guessing due to the low cost it's a gamble if you get a good one or a junk one. Mine flew great from the box I must say however I have many hours flying more advanced RC airplanes and helicopters which helps even with these smaller ones. If you can't get it to fly properly as it should with little effort then take it back and get another one that will.
@TheJagerbombcast With 1,286 views form external websites and 792 Google serches since 11/26/10 it is VIRAL my friend. Thanks for watching and your comments have a great New Year!.
Has anyone had trouble getting it to fly. My chopper spins out of control when I attempt to fly. I tried adjusting the "trim" buttons with 0 change. I also inspected the propellers and such. Everything appears to be intact. Help please.
This helicopter is incredibly easy to operate and is also remarkabley resilient to some of the crashes i've put it through. For 20 dollars this is a great gift imao.
pet, santa got 2 for the kids today, i had to carefully take the halves apart using the supplied screwdriver. The small pinion gear on the motor that runs the lower prop had moved up. lowered it to contact large gear on the prop shaft. Took about 15 minutes. CHOPPER #2 after 1 flight, just does not work after charging. reset channel and both controllers work with #1, neather w/#2. guess Ill pull it apart too
@manbal100 The plane was built by me in 2002 it has been flown many times. The engine is just starting to be fully broke in runs great no dead sticks ever. Super Cubs did not change much from year to year like cars do. I have a older flight video of the plane in my videos go have a look at it a true beauty in the air.
@manbal100 Yes it a 1/4 scale Piper PA-18 Super Cub 102" wing span 38cc gas engine full flaps and will cruse at 78mph. Very fun easy plane to fly and she is for sale.
To petshopchannel: I just had the problem happen to me and I managed to fix it by putting the gear back in it's place... On top of the helicopter you could see that theirs two holes and two little motors one to power the top prop and the other for the bottom. Use the tiny screw driver the comes with it to push the tiny gear down.. the one that does not spin while turning the propeller by hand should be the gear...let me know if this helped u...
@scalper42 Took mine apart w/small screwdriver and the small pinion gear on the right side, lower prop motor had moved up, i slid it back down to contact the large gear on prop shaft and buttoned it back up, so far so good. took about 15 minutes, be careful, small delicate parts, no monkey fisting.
these arent bad for the money. my nephew has dogged mines out, but its still on the 1st set of blades, still controllable and it has only gotten louder somehow. maybe could use some lube on the gears. Using a paperclip on the tail or something real light can hep you control the speed or hover. A penny is 2 heavy.
Hey the only downside is the controller range. but this judgement is from half
charged rechargeale batts with a max voltage of 1.2 vs. 1.5 from non rechargeables. -1.8volts(.3x6)
Just a tip......you can slow down how fast these things move forward by altering the center of gravity. What I do is stick a penny with some scotch tape to the bottom. A good starting point to tape that kind of weight is right in the gray area between the blue or red, etc. colors. Tape it more forward or to the rear as needed. You can get it to hover very still this way and it avoids going into walls. I used to do this also with my air hogs reflex.
@johan696 Depends on the battery condition in the controller I have seen 15-20 min runs with mine. For only $20.00 some sell for as low as $14.00 buy two fly one while the other is charging.
With frequent right heading adjustment from the control stick you will learn to make smooth ovals in your living room. But only go right at first once you got that down good then learn left nose headings. Remember fly the nose!
Power it up let it go notice how it flies does the nose turn left or right? If the nose goes left click in some right trim, if the nose goes right click in some left trim. When learning never let is spin that is an out of control helli. The goal is to get the helli to fly across the room in a straight line hands off. As it heads to the nearest wall apply a small amount of right stick to swing its nose to the right altering the flight path to the right.
With this type of RC Helli remember it will always move in the direction of the nose forward ALWAYS! It’s balanced from the factory to fly forward slowly. With that in mind simply think of the nose and apply input control to change the heading of the helicopter’s nose as you fly it by the nose. The best way to get good at this is to point the helli away from you (nose out).
Awesome...I got one today and its my first RC ANYTHING!! I can fly awesome up and down but any tips for going side to side easy i can barely get it to turn at all!! I got my from JCP too!!
You did a very good job little lady. Keep up the good work.

Trim it out with trim buttons as you fly it. If you can't get to fly straight with the trim then take it back and exchange it for one that will.
